Something’s not right

I can’t cope

I can’t cope

Hi. I’m new and have never been in anything like this before.
I’m really struggling with depression at the moment and just need a place to vent.
there is no reason as to why I feel this way. I just hate myself and feel like I’m an unworthy and useless person. I don’t have a partner or many friends. I feel like I keep pushing them away when I’m down. I’m just not worthy of them. I hate life and just wish I would go to sleep and not wake up. I feel so much emotional pain inside but numb at the same time. None of this makes any sense but it just how I feel.

Re: I can’t cope

I was great until my psychiatrist app. @Former-Member @tyme

Im not sure about the medication change. But I do trust her and that she has my best interests in mind.

She asked about some of my childhood. When I say it out loud it seems little but it has done so much damage.

Sometimes the little things can hurt the most.... like a papercut.

Sending hugs @Captain24 🤗

I was trying to make some connections on here. But it seems like a said the wrong thing. So I guess it’s easier to stay off social threads. Maybe I’m just being extra sensitive @Former-Member

Re: I can’t cope

I don't remember where or when I heard this, but what may seem small to some, is a mountain for others, and what may seem like a mountain to some is nothing to others @Captain24 .

We cannot judge what others are going through if that's what they are going through.

I have had a few terrible things happen lately in my offline world. When people hear about them, they are shocked, but for me, they haven't affected me too much. At first, I was waiting for the 'crash'...but it didn't come.

As for my childhood, I thought I had a very good and fortunate upbringing...however, in sharing my childhood with my therapists, I realised my childhood was not as 'normal' as I thought. If anything, it had done lasting damage and can I have been diagnosed with chronic PTSD. To me, the 'normal' wasn't so 'normal'....

So whatever you are going through and feeling is valid. They are your feelings and what you are going through. The important part is working with these feelings so you can function and thrive in society.

Hugs, tyme

@Captain24 you are not extra sensitive. I grew up being told I was too sensitive and cried too much, but it is who I am. I feel things deeper than an average person. It's not necessarily a bad thing. It makes you more empathetic, caring and loving. What you feel is what you feel and it's valid ❤️ Sending you hugs.

Re: I can’t cope

It can be tricky to be sensitive to everyone's needs on the forums. Sane has created the guidelines and has moderators in attempt to keep everyone on here safe and respected, however, sometimes it is even still hard to navigate. Your posts mean a lot to a lot of people, please consider continuing on your social journey 💓, we love hearing from you.

Re: I can’t cope

Wow @tyme that was really powerful!

Thank you!

It actually lightened the weight a little.

I thought my childhood was ‘normal’ but as I got older and especially going through it all right now it has affected me. I find it more traumatic than my SA.

Sorry about you offline life but so glad you are handling it.

Re: I can’t cope

@tyme is right. If it makes you feel any better @Captain24, I also find some of the little things the most painful and let the big stuff roll off my back a lot.

I think sometimes too we hold onto the smaller things because the big things are too big. The small things are enough to remember but not too big that it seems impossible that it has even happened.

Re: I can’t cope

It’s hard because I really need to work through it but I can’t until I’m stable. @Former-Member But I really don’t believe a mother should tell their child that they hate them and want to get rid of them and never see than again.
