Pain.

Pain.

I have a huge range of health issues that affect my mood. After work yesterday I felt lethargic. I have 4 health issues that cause me a lot of chronic pain. I have hip dysplasia, a degenerative lower spine that is seemly crumbling, I have a bakers cyst in my left knee and another de generation in my left ankle. It was all playing up all at once. A lot of the time it's not within my control. I cried while I was on the couch and then I woke up at 3am and cried more. I couldn't stop crying for a couple of hours. Ontop of this I had a friend messaging me telling they have gallstones. I had another friend telling me they were so bored. How the hell can I be there for anyone if no one can be there for me also! I finally have a few seshs booked with my psychologist. But who thinks the right way when they are in pain? I drank over this. I could of just reached out to TNM community and read the book more. But I didn't and I made myself feel guilty and that I let everyone including myself down.

Re: Pain.

I am sorry to read about your health issues @TheJuZShoW When we are in pain it is very hard to function never mind care for others.

Can you do some self care today? Maybe a hot shower or bubble bath might help with relaxing.

Thinking of you 💙

@Eve7 Unfortunately all these issues are not always muscular. They're joint and bone issues, yet somehow I am still able to get around and work hard.

Hey there @TheJuZShoW

That’s a lot to be living with every day and it impacting, as you say your mood. I’m not sure whether you saw but we actually had a chat last week on topic Tuesday event, about chronic pain & mental health which you might be interested in looking at sometime.

We had one of our counselling staff join us & share their personal lived experience of living with chronic pain & their wealth of expertise with pathways in finding supports. They provided a lot of really helpful resources that you can access through the link below.
Topic Tuesday // Let’s Chat: Chronic Pain & Mental Health // Tues 1st March, 7:00-8:30PM AEDT

Also after the night our community guide @Shaz51 created a specific discussion thread relating to chronic pain if you feel you’d like to connect in with others who understand. A place where we can continue to have conversations around this important topic. Discussion link below 😊

I just want to give yourself credit for expressing this to the community & I hope you can find some self compassion around those parts that are making you feel as though your letting yourself down. 💛
