The everlasting lifemare

The everlasting lifemare

Today I should feel happy as my team finally won an afl premiership, I am glad of that but it can't take my pains away, the all encompassing emptiness, my fear of people continues unabated not that people of any type really notice nor give a crap about me my fear is not for any real reason but because so many things are so easy for them when for me some are very hard others implausible, I have taken much pain over my limited time and I try while a struggle to improve myself, I quit drinking because I got little from it except a very short reprieve from my mind, I quit smoking, I try to increase my walking.

every day I wake to see a day with a pained tear draining from my ever tired eyes, I try to find some light among the darkness but forever find myself alone within my heart, my head and this world,

What I have seen is that those qualities mean exactly zero except people see it as a bullseye they take and take and take then leave me crushed and drained in the mud at the side of the road until they need something again, nobody cares not about me I'm just the pathetic loser that can be used without cost I hold no expectations, no strings and when they're done I will walk away not get angry not try to hurt them in any way just realise I have outlived my usefulness

Re: The everlasting lifemare

@Redraw. Have you ever thought about telling them how their actions make you feel?
Maybe they are so self absorbed in their own lives or have just never thought about your needs.
Some people need to be told or shown.

They don't listen nor care, I gave a person a play by play of why I did not return for 16 years, they were involved, did not stop them doing worse to me this time, I have tried and been accused of manipulation and shit, and then my guilt goes off the charts, people don't even try to actually know me so I just suffer the burns

Re: The everlasting lifemare

Not that there is really anyone left that wants anything to do with me, though they will turn up when they need cause I am con-f***ing-venient there when needed and easy to get rid of

Re: The everlasting lifemare

@Redraw. Can you not be so 'convenient' - so available to them - the next time. Maybe that is the only way they will understand.

Re: The everlasting lifemare

@Redraw. I understand what you are saying. That must be so hard - because then, how do you protect yourself from those who would abuse your kindness and generosity ?
I'm able to give a lot - but at the same time, say no - when I am not in a strong mental state, of if by giving, it would hurt me.
I've learnt to make my mental health my top priority. The better I feel, the more I am able to give others.

It must be a masochistic streak in me, I will push myself till I collapse cause I hate letting people down I am a perfectionist and also feel that I am not good enough

Re: The everlasting lifemare

I am a bit the same in pushing myself til collapse. @Redraw I just find it hard to read the inner signals.

I dont actually believe in perfectionism .. but doing my best .. usually is trying hard... too hard often.

take care .. I have to log off .. but I am glad to see you around the forums again.

Re: The everlasting lifemare

@Redraw. There is no such thing as perfect. Trying to aim for perfection - just sets one up for failure.
Maybe what you need to focus on - to work on - is believing in yourself. Learning that you are worth more than how people treat you. And learning who to put your time and energy into.
This is not an easy thing to do. Especially on your own. But if you can manage to slowly work through this - I think you will feel better about yourself and then attract good hearted people into yiur life.
Well, this is what I wish for you.
