Struggling

Struggling

Struggling at the moment.

I'm experiencing a combination of depression and anxiety bringing up all sorts of negative memories. Mistakes I made and opportunities I failed to take up.

It's making me feel unwell, jittery, hopeless, painfully uncomfortable and unable to rest.

I'm not even sure I will post this but at least it gives me something to focus on in the moment.

I know other people have real problems. When I look at my life objectively I feel like a fraud. I'm weak and lazy.

Like why can't I just start doing something meaningful to relieve the anxiety?

Every little thing seems too hard, too much for me to handle.

I'm overwhelmed.

I have so many excuses to NOT participate in everyday life.

Yes I have diagnoses but I also receive ongoing treatment for them.

I should be doing better.

Re: Struggling

That's not good at all @perspective. is it a contingency you've planned for? I'm bipolar and it's a red flag for me. Sending you strength and hoping you can get any support you need this weekend.

Re: Struggling

It would have been a red flag years ago. Since menopause nothing works . I don’t even have the energy to write about it. I don’t even have the energy to be psychotic . Just feel like zero

Re: Struggling

Hugs @perspective I hope you can ride this out. It's good that you're still on top of things. Your gp or pdoc might be able to prescribe something to help you, 4 days is a long time without shut-eye. Please keep in touch and let us know how you're going. Pats to your furbaby.

@Eve7 @RedHorse @Dimity @Shaz51 @tyme

ive slept ok last few days and today I took the dog to trentham for a walk. Trentham has a railway station which is no longer used and there is a really lovely walk along it . Anyway I was at the platform which is probably about a metre from the ground , not even that. I had a stupid thought, and decided to go with it. Instead of using the steps I planted my bum on the edge of the platform and my legs dangled not far from ground. I pushed myself off only to find that my tracky daks were clinging to the platform . I was then in a mess on the ground with a sprained ankle. . the dog was pretty excited and thought it was great .

anyway most of the continued journey the dog was off lead end decided to do a meet and greet with a chained dog , had I had my wits about me I probably would have been more careful. So he gets bitten and it drew blood, not a massive injury but a huge scare for my baby. I tried cleaning it tonite but he was too upset and hid in my bed. He is very sooky at the moment but after turning his nose up at his usual food he was ok with being hand fed a leg of lamb I bought today with that Centrelink bonus that appeared in my bank account.
I wrote this cos I thought it might brighten the day or night of my forum mateys .Love yous all!

Re: Struggling

Oh no @perspective I hope your sprained ankle and the dog's bite heal quickly. What a day. But I'm glad you've been sleeping. Shame about the lamb but I can understand.

My cat was off-colour for a couple of days, I'm glad he's better today and doesn't need the visit to the vet I was anticipating.
