2022

2022

This year will be different to last

I have some plans in the making and a lot will happen and change.

I nearly had a panic attack tonight but avoided it entirely by thinking through what needed to be done in the immediate future. So I did exactly what I knew I needed to. And left it there.

I also fixed my mattress for a temp fix before I get the new one.

There's always so much on my mind. So much I want and need.

But I know the strides I made last year will push me forward.

Just need to set a routine and be stringent. But also not hard on myself.

Its hard for me socially atm so I take what I can.

Dating - I have no idea and to be honest I'm okay with that. I have some apps but I will ween myself away from it. I'm open minded enough. Thatll do for now.

Now it's bed time.

Ohh

@MDT

Friendship are hard sometimes

One of my friends was one sided --- her side always, got a bit hard doing what and where and when she wanted

Re: 2022

Such a horrible feeling @MDT, being on the outside. And sorry to hear you are feeling pathetic 😞 You are far from it in my eyes.

Distraction is alway a good one, what will you get up to this evening?

Re: 2022

I think I may of said this before. I get the feeling like you're putting pressure on yourself. I have a lot of respect for that. I, in general love you passion.Makes me want to see you self-care and succeed.

I'm seeing you balancing that out with self-care and wondering if you've seen the "How to Make Stress You Friend", TED Talk. It was something that I actually found quite confronting, but I'm also glad I confronted it. I'd even say the research continually defines how I look at "working" and working relationships.

It's helped me a lot with my complex attachment dynamics but I'd be curious about other perceptions from other portals of anxiety. It's important (but to me also scary) ground. @MDT @Shaz51 @TAB @StuF @Smc

Re: 2022

In my book for this year - A trend i started last year where I write out what I need to do.

The first page represents the start of this year so to speak

I have written out what I need to do this week

but under it I wrote this:

"Who knows where these pages will end"

I think it captures the mood right now

Re: 2022

I'm actually pretty alright @Shaz51 . Got a pretty decent relationship with progress and struggle in an incremental progress kind of way.

I'm recovering from addictions, learning about computers and looking to find myself a living space to call my own. At the same time remembering to reach out as much as in to get the best results. Pretty proud in my ability to make humble progress.

I've also been basically, trying on a new religion since the last census got me thinking about where I stand. And, that's been going well, also. I think the Gestalt influence on my therapy has been pretty helpful in that area.

I love the heck out of 8out10cats does countdown @MDT . You're taste is immaculate.

Re: 2022

hey @wellwellwellnez
sounds like you have been on quite the journey

I love what you said: "At the same time remembering to reach out as much as in to get the best results. Pretty proud in my ability to make humble progress."

I feel like crying right now because of all the things I am experiencing.

In regards to religion - I have done it. But I think now I am far more spiritual than ever.

this remains one of my favourite lines of sanskrit poetry.

Look to this day!
For it is life, the very life of life,
In its brief course
Lie all the verities and realities of your existence:

The bliss of growth,
The glory of action,
The splendor of beauty,
For yesterday is but a dream
And tomorrow only a vision,
But today well lived makes every yesterday
a dream of happiness
And every tomorrow a vision of hope.

Look well, therefore, to this day!
Such is the salutation of the dawn.
