Dad is doing better, the funeral has been arranged and he will watch it via Zoom as he doesn't think he's well enough to attend.

I am however not coping after receiving an email from a friend who felt it was her duty to remind me that the crap I went through with ex friend was probably my fault. Not her intention but she may as well have told me I'm a terrible person and maybe it would have been better if it was me not stepmonster who went.

I wish people who don't live with mental illness would try and understand how their thoughtless comments can wound. This person has known me 14 years and knows my struggle with rejection and bipolar/anxiety which makes it worse.

@ENKELI that is not the actions of a friend. That is the actions of a self righteous person, spitting venom. That daughter of a motherless camel, has no place in your life.

I'm pretty new here to the forum, but it's a great space with lovely people☺️

They're no friend of yours doing that.

I've been struggling recently with a friend with complex issues and sometimes you need to back step or cut them out for your own well being.

You don't need someone in your life treating you like that.

If you can find the strength to put up some boundaries and expectations, if that "friend" storms through them then you'll know they don't care about you and your happiness...

Sometimes it's really empowering to put your needs first for once and take a stand.

Anyway I just wanted to tell you I'm sorry you are being treated like that. It's an awful feeling. Especially when you're trying to move on with your life and they just keep bringing you down.

You deserve better.

Think it is time for some classic tunes... from the wonderful era known as the '80.... where we had big hair and lots of denim and leather....
