Hi
I have a referral to private psychiatrist being triaged
I am just wondering what "291 Assessment and Ongoing Care" means?
I'm hoping that this means actually Ongoing support. My previous psychiatrist was terrible, and didn’t offer Ongoing regular appointments. Just writing Care plans for General Practitioner and allied health "Care"

Hi @DogMan79 As far as I am aware this would mean a clinical evaluation/diagnosis and ongoing support. It is a medicare number of which you can read more about it here

Took them 2 months to decide that they are at capacity and reject me
Administration lady said that the Dr emailed some recommendations to my GP

The lady made some suggestions. Like googling Deb Dana. Said that patients who are hypervigilant around doctors and discussion of self care are difficult. She made sure I am safe

@DogMan79 I'm glad to hear you are safe, and that you have an appointment with your GP. In the meantime, go gently with yourself and keep flexing that self care muscle of reaching out when you need the extra support.

Saw GP this morning
He said that the private pdoc recommended public system for me. With more frequent check ins and a case manager
So referral for that
I made sure that I was fasting. So got annual bloods and an ECG while there (my heart is OK, just quick. Relaxed resting pulse is 100+)
