Starting to struggle

Starting to struggle

I was doing so well, my moods where manageable and now I feel like I'm losing control my anxiety is bad my flashbacks are more present, family are causing lots of stress and controlling me I don't know what to do, it all feels really to overwhelming.

I feel like my whole world is falling apart, my stress levels are high, my moods are always fluctuating, I have random anger outbursts, I'm isolating myself from nearly everyone.

My dad hasn't even really contacted me, I'm really upset, I feel like he doesn't care or even wants to give me a call to see how I am. His wife is really controlling and she tends to judge me. They want me to go to Christmas with them and I don't even want to see them.

I find this time of year is triggering.

Am safe

Re: Starting to struggle

I'm proud that you were able to reach out & express this @Fluttershy1 .

I have been struggling. I made a Dr appointment earlier in the week & we spoke today. I feel better that I made positive steps, even if sometimes the solution is unclear.

Can you consider seeking a professional for guidance? Is that something that you would want?

In the meantime, I will be sending you good vibes🌈 .

If there is anything specific that you feel comfortable posting about why you are struggling with emotions, I am here to read it!

Please keep in touch.

@maddison - my doctor doesn’t bulk bill anymore I got told that I wouldn’t even make it through a traineeship because I’m unreliable and it really upset me and triggered me. I just don’t feel like myself. Am safe

Hey @Fluttershy1 ,

Have you considered looking around for a different doctor that can better meet your needs?

Just a thought,

Re: Starting to struggle

Hi @Fluttershy1

Well yes, rejection can be disheartening & overwhelming, leading to feelings of hopelessness & wanting to give up.

I can empathise, being similarly rejected due to my own Mental health concerns & parts of my lifestyle that are not in my control & I did not ask for.

It can be really lonely.

Being told you are 'too unreliable' is personal. I think you have drive. You are able to reach out on here, & that proves that you are motivated to improve yourself. Perhaps you don't have the skills required to do a traineeship at the moment. That is ok. It is difficult (extremely) to accept your limitations imposed by mental health issues. You are still yourself. You are awesome!

Have you considered making a list of things you could do to move forward?

Perhaps things like;

  • Research New doctors that offer bulk billing
  • Research any mental health providers that offer skills training
  • Free online study courses that you find interesting

You don't have to do it all in one day. Take tiny steps, that don't overwhelm you. Add things to your list that reminds you how great you are, & fun. Or forget about list entirely & decide to put everything on pause for a bit while you re-evaluate!

I don't know if this is any help. Probably things you already know and heard a million times before. I think the tiniest step can make difference.

You don't really have to do anything🙂 Thanks for expressing emotions.

Hey @maddison @Shaz51 @Snowie @AussieRecharger - sorry for not being active, I got a nasty sinus infection and I’m still not very well. So resting.
