Welcome and getting started

Motivation during Lockdown

Motivation during Lockdown

Hello new friends

Just new here and starting to really struggle during the Sydney lockdown. I know I should feel lucky that I still have a job and a roof over my head. I know many others are in much, much worse situations. So I guess Im here for two reasons: to share and help others but to also receive ideas that will help me pull through the mental olympics that lockdown has become. A bit about me...I live alone, am separated after an abusive marriage of 26 years, my children are all adults and I am really struggling without social interaction and my normal routine. Feel free to say hello and share your story with me, a problem shared is a problem halved!

hello new friend and welcome to the forums sorry to hear that your living on your own during this time that must be difficult The only two things Ive been bothered by is the fact Im up and awake during most hours of the night rather than daylight hours only to sleep more during the day and the fact Im like mostly everyone is at times bored with no routine, and snacking frquently on junk food

Thanks for sharing @TFS29 .

Welcome to the forums. I hope you'll find some support here. Although the interactions are definitely different here than in person, it's better than without.

SANE forums have supported me through 6 lockdowns now! I'm still here, so I can vouch there's substance in the forums LOL.

It's hard having lived with people in the past to now living alone. I live alone and thrived on working most of the day, then going out for coffees, lunches, dinners etc. in between. Lockdown has put a halt to this. Now it's work work work. I definitely miss going out. But that's okay, I find other ways to 'interact' while maintaining social distancing.

Continue to reach out @TFS29 . We're in this together.
