Hello @Former-Member
You have described your feelings at the present time, and I can imagine that those feelings would certainly be very distressing. Knowing that you may not be able to see a psychiatrist for some months, to work through and address those feelings and their causes, would mean that reaching out for assistance, as you have done, would be very important for you.
You say that you are quite young and that you are still at school, it appears that you might be under 18 yrs of age. If that is so, there may be other resources that could add to, or more closely fit your needs.
The way that @Arizona and @Snowie have responded to your request for someone to talk with, on this forum, is really lovely. From my perspective, their comments have been very supportive and nurturing. It was also great that you and FridaKahlo could connect with your interests in music and musicians. FridaKahlo's statement that “It's okay; you don't have to apologise.” is spot on. We really don't need to apologise for seeking assistance and support. I'd venture to say that nearly everyone on the forum has sought support, at one time or another. That is why most people started their contact with the forums. And it means that people can understand where you are at, because, in one way or another, they have also been in similar situations. I agree that, although seeking help is often driven with a sense of fear and urgency, it still takes considerable strength and courage to actually ask for that assistance and support. So congratulations on taking those steps.
I hope that, having spoken with FridaKahlo, earlier this morning, that you were able to get some restful sleep last night/earlier this morning.
If you would like to talk more about how you are feeling, please keep contact. Also, If you would be happy to let us know your age (over or under 18), we can see what other resources may be available to assist you as quickly as possible.
With My Very Best Wishes
HenryX
