Hi @Fireflyseeker
It’s so lovely to hear from you 💜
Thank you so much for understanding 🤗💜
Oh no! I’m so sorry he ghosted you and it’s no wonder you’re feeling so hurt and upset! It can be so hard not to feel powerless and defeated when the things that we desperately want and try so hard to achieve seem constantly out of reach and I’m so sorry that you feel as though you’re failing in some parts of your life too 😢
My pleasure! 😊 That’s amazing that you’re still maintaining no contact! Is there anything in particular that’s helping you to be able to continue to do this?
I don’t blame you! It can be extraordinarily difficult to contain our emotions when we look back on a relationship and see all of the additional losses (for example the passage of time and the missed opportunities) we’ve suffered.
I love that about the water too - especially the ocean! I find listening to the rhythmic patterns of the waves especially soothing and I love watching the waves rolling onto the beach. I’ve been able to link in with a private Physiotherapist for a couple of sessions and so they’re going to put together an exercise program that I can do in the pool and so I’ll be doing my own sort of hydrotherapy! 🙃 I’m quite looking forward to this as I think it will be really helpful for my physical and emotional wellbeing.
I’m so pleased that your recovery is going well 😊 I can really relate to that feeling of dread! I just wondered if you’re still working as part of the sexual assault team or if this has changed? Having a boss who has it in for you just makes it that much harder! Do you have supportive people around you who could provide a little bit of a buffer?
Thinking of you and sending lots of healing hugs your way! 🤗💜
Take care,
ShiningStar 💜

Hi @ShiningStar
So good to hear from you.
I am now 4 and a half months no contact. It helps that I don't see him at work anymore. I think he now works in the building down the road.
Thank you. I am still struggling with the dating game. I was just dumped yesterday by a guy I'd been seeing for 4 weeks. He dumped me via text. I'm still really hurt and upset. Before we dated he said we'd remain friends even if it didn't work out. But now he is ignoring me. Which hurts even more.
That's great your physio is doing a program for you. And great you can combine it with your love of water. I do hope it helps you physically as well as emotionally.
Unfortunately I've had a setback...my wounds are infected again and have stopped healing. I've just started antibiotics today.
I haven't been able to do my sexual assault role but am back to it next week finally.
Unfortunately there is no buffer between me and the boss. I just have to grin and bear it.
Sending hugs

Hey @Fireflyseeker @ShiningStar ,
Thanks for the updates . I've missed seeing you around. It sounds like a lot has been happening but it also sounds like some things are at a stand still.
Please know we are here for you.

Hi @Fireflyseeker
It’s so lovely to hear from you! 💜
I’m so sorry that it’s taken me so long to reach back to you. I haven’t been in the best place with my mental health and so I’ve been finding everything quite hard lately. I was considering making an appointment to see a Psychiatrist but when they quoted me anywhere from $400 to $900 I realised that the decision was pretty much made for me as there’s no way I can afford this! Although I’m travelling ok at the moment, I’m still taking things slowly as I still feel pretty fragile.
Oh wow! 😊 Reaching four and a half months without contact is amazing! Well done! 💜😊🎉 Absolutely! The distance that’s been created through relocating to another building would definitely make it easier for you to continue to maintain no contact. I just gently wondered if this is a permanent change?
I’m so sorry to hear that he dumped you - and via text message too! 😢 For someone to promise friendship and then suddenly change the ‘rules’ of the relationship without any discussion is incredibly painful and confusing and I’m so sorry that you’re going through this 😔💜
Oh dear it sounds as though you’ve really been in the wars lately both emotionally and physically! I’m so sorry to hear that your wounds are infected and I just wondered if the antibiotics have made any difference?
That’s great that you’re able to move back into your sexual assault role 😊 How are you finding it?
I haven’t made it to the pool yet as I’ve either been unwell with Covid or another virus or something else has popped up! I’m hoping to be able to go in the next few weeks and so I’ll let you know how it goes!
I also want to try to learn how to sew! I found a class that I like the look of and once you’ve learnt the basics, you can make a cushion cover and a bag and then an item of clothing - either a skirt or shorts or pants. I would love to make a skirt as there’s so much wonderful fabric to choose from which means that I could get really creative and make something unique! 🙃
Please don’t worry if it takes some time for me to reply 😊 I’m still here - I’ve just fallen very behind with everything! 💜
Thinking of you and sending lots of caring hugs your way! 🤗💜
Take care,
ShiningStar 💜

Hi @ShiningStar,
I'm so happy to hear from you. But saddened to hear life has been such a struggle for you. And that the treatment that could help you is out of your reach. Can you see a psychiatrist as a public patient? I know there would be a wait list though.
Yes. No contact from my ex is a permanent change. I am now 9 months no contact. I'm very proud of myself lol.
My wounds are all healed now. Although it took 5 months. But I have some horrible scaring.
I briefly mentioned problems with my boss in my last message. Well things got really bad and for the past 6 weeks I've been off on stress leave. I couldn't continue to work with my boss constantly attacking my work and my physical appearance. I am currently waiting for a determination from an official grievance I put in to HR. but I am living in an almost constant state of anxiety dreading the day I have to go back and work with my boss. I am applying for other jobs but unfortunately the experience I have is very specialised. I've never done general nursing. So my job options are very limited. And they are further limited by my in ability to do shift work as a single mum. I am having more regular psychology sessions to help and I've linked in with the employee assistance program counselling.
I'm still doing internet dating. It's still been pretty soul destroying. But at the moment I'm chatting to 2 guys that want to meet me. One is going to China tomorrow though for 10 days. So I won't be able to meet him for a while. The other one I'm hopefully meeting on Friday. Then there is a third guy but we've agreed to start as friends. But while this may all sound positive my experiences have been anything but up to this point. But I'm still trying to find that right special person for me.
A sewing class sounds wonderful. I hope you go ahead with it and get to make something unique and fabulous for you 😍
I do hope things improve for you sinning star. You are such a wonderful and caring person. You deserve happiness and contentedness. I wish I could help you find that. But unfortunately I don't know how. I'm sorry.
Sending hugs 🫂

Hi @Fireflyseeker
It’s so lovely to hear from you 💜
I’m so deeply sorry for my long absence 💜 It’s just been one thing after another and I’ve been struggling to keep on top of everything 😔
I didn’t want the year to pass without taking a moment to say thank you so much for your friendship and to wish you a very merry Christmas! 💜
I hope you have an absolutely wonderful time and that the New Year brings with it happiness, amazing fortune and answered prayers!
Hopefully I’ll be able to respond more fully in the New Year! 💜
Sending you lots of Christmassy hugs! 💜🤗
