Walking for Wellness and Healthy Habits

Walking for Wellness and Healthy Habits

  • So I took part in Topic Tuesday this evening on Physical Activity for Mental Health. I feel motivated so I am going to give up my couch potato ways and start to make an effort to get outside to walk for exercise. I am hoping that I will improve my mental health whilst losing weight and increasing fitness. I am going to keep you updated about my progress here. Feel free to join in - the more the merrier! Maybe we can help motivate each other.

A few references that I looked at under the heading of

"Park for conservation of trees and herbaceous plants"

included,

  • Environment Protection and. Biodiversity Conservation
  • Kings Park and Botanic Garden
  • What is the role of trees and remnant vegetation
  • Plant Community Composition and Biodiversity Patterns
  • The Victorian Naturalist
  • Forests and trees - National Arboretum
  • Herbaceous plant diversity in forest ecosystems
  • ACT NATIVE WOODLAND CONSERVATION STRATEGY
  • Environmental tree planting projects
  • plant conservatory

Hope that something here jumps out and reminds you of what you saw recently @TAB

Cheers, @HenryX

Re: Walking for Wellness

This morning I went for a walk to the local shopping centre and back. Checked my lotto, won $80 woohoo!

Then this afternoon I took my hubby out to a burger bar and ate half his hot chips so I went for another walk around the park to take the curse off!

Re: Walking for Wellness

I walked around the park again today. I am glad I got my daily walk done but I am struggling with the motivation to actually step outside the door and actually start. Once I get going it’s not all that bad.
