I've just made myself a cuppa and would love a friend if anyone is around?

Hey @Shaz51
That is good news about your mum's infection!
Sounds like you are snug as a bug in a rug 🙂

My parents in Brisbane have both had gallbladder issues. Dad's had his out decades ago, Mum's yet to have hers out, but yeah, it's very painful. You have my full sympathy.

I haven't looked too much into it, but it is purely diet related? @Abner @Shaz51

It is mostly diet related @tyme , @Bow , @Abner , @StuF , @Captain24
But there are 2 types of gallstones can form and they are what causes the problem when they get stuck in the ducts

I think it's a little like diverticulitis in that it's partly diet and partly age related in the case of elderly people.

Whoops, I missed Mr Shaz's gallstone attack @Shaz51 !
That sounds rather crap, to add to everything else 😞

Interesting @Shaz51 . Can they 'laser' them like they sometimes do with kidney stones? (I'm no doctor, so please don't laugh at my ignorance) LOL.... I'm just thinking whether it can be picked up (diagnosed) before the stones get too big.
Whatever it is, doesn't sound pleasant. I think I just need to remember 'prevention rather than cure'.

In Mr shaz case he had a xray last year and the doctor said he had gallbladder full of cholesterol gallstones which will pass if you add more fibre into the diet
My MIL had hers gallbladder removed because a stone was affecting her liver
