Hi @tonys, I really like your writing, it's very evocative and shows you've a great way with words. Do you write poetry or prose? You'd be good at it. I feel your nostalgia, and the way nature is healing for you, it's tinged with sadness, but quite beautiful.

Hi @tonys and @RedHorse , I'm not aware that there is a time limit on typing your replies, I don't think that can be true as often there are very long posts on the forums - much longer than yours, @tonys , yours are just a nice length. Plus I often get up during typing a reply and make coffee and breakfast in the middle of it, with no problem.
The replies do "auto-save" themselves every few minutes, so you can load the latest "auto-saved content" if you run into difficulties.
Also, the posts are live, so they load straight away @tonys - it shouldn't take 12 hours to see them on the website.
I know I sometimes get the "invalid" response, usually when making a quote, and then I just press "post" again and it goes through.
I hope that's helpful! Good to see you back online @tonys .

I've just woken up after a night of not sleeping well. I watched something on my phone last night that got me thinking about how my various traumas and trying to process them "clipped my wings", and the result was I missed out on so much of life that other people get to take for granted.
I could say "It's so unfair...people shouldn't have done that..." but they did, and in some ways I'm glad people defamed me and came upto me in the street and verbally abused me for all those years, because that's helped make me the survivor and fighter I am now. There are ways verbally stand your ground and stand up to people when they need to be told to stop taking advantage of you. I got to learn how to do that, and it's a very valuable and life-givung skill, but I still know that even people's idiocy can abuse others...defamation feeds on breathtakingly lazy thinking...and unfortunately in a place like Sydney where gossip is foolishly considered currency, it has a ready-made banquet

@tyme I had my last DBT skills group this morning.

I'm so proud you pushed through with it @Bow . What I found with skills groups is that it takes times to practice the skills. Life situations will provide you with opportunities to utilise the skills - and that's how you get better at them!
Good on you!
