Share a cuppa?

I've just made myself a cuppa and would love a friend if anyone is around?

HI @Former-Member , that looks like a perfect afternoon setup- hot chocolate, sun and marshmallow 😄

It definitely feels like time for a cuppa to me- and it's nice to e-meet you 🙂

What's on the menu for you this afternoon?

Nice to meet you too @Former-Member

I think a pot of tea for me, maybe some nut loaf. Are you a hot chocolate drinker, coffee or tea? 🤗☕️

How is your day going? I managed to do a food shop and some chores. Huge achievement for me, haha! I’m still recovering from a fall I had on the weekend. Still getting over the shock and pain.

Oooh amazing @Former-Member - perfect if it's chilly where you are. I love drinking tea in the afternoon, Lady Grey is my favourite. It always reminds me of having proper leaf tea with my Nanna in a pot, I find it so comforting.

I'm a big coffee drinker in the mornings, but love my tea otherwise. A nut loaf sounds like the perfect thing to have with your tea!

My day's going well thanks! I'm still quite new to the forums, so I'm really enjoying spending some time reading and getting to know this wonderful community a little! I'm so sorry to hear about your fall, it sounds like it was a big shock - it's a really unsettling feeling isn't it. Good on you for managing to get a food shop done, that can feel like a huge task at the best of times in my experience ! Are you planning on cooking anything special?

Usually a pot of Dilmah tea in the afternoon and strong coffee in the morning. I had intentions of cooking bolognese, but I had a huge panic attack in the shop. I thought I was ready to venture out, not so. I was able to hide it, but feel so drained. Probably won’t have any dinner. Maybe a banana. 😃 What about you? @Former-Member

Trying to distract myself from how disappointed I am in myself. If I remember correctly you have 3 grown up kids that live away? @Oaktree

Re: Share a cuppa?

Yes @Former-Member

I have 3 adult children. One lives at home for 3 days per week and the other two are out of the home for the moment. Child number two is a chef and is living in a rental and child number 3 has gone to Hawaii to study for up to 4 years. Child number one stays with his girlfriend Friday’s through Monday’s and is at home the rest of the week.
