All Creatures Great and Small is actually set just a few years after WW1, which isn't the 40s, it's the 20s. It's a fascinating look at veterina

That series is actually set in the 1920s, just after WW1.

I always think of those sorts of occasions as chance to have a bit of a holiday, do some reading, watch some movies, concerts and opera on my phone, eat good food, have coffee and tea, all with my cats beside me. You may feel too much pain to enjoy this period, but I hope the painkillers are making you comfortable so you can enjoy that.
