Share a cuppa?

Share a cuppa?

I've just made myself a cuppa and would love a friend if anyone is around?

Yeah and being able to put the kids to be, we’re a very routine house and being in our home and they go to bed in their own beds will be a life saver.
nah looking forward to it, @amber22

what’s news for you

Haha I am the same, chocolate is the best @Emelia8

Thats good that you don't have COVID, but I can imagine that it would definitely change a few things at the hospital with so many people having it. I hope you're doing okay and managing to relax a bit

That will be so nice! Back into routine will be good too...

Just a lot of working for me and excited for the Christmas holidays, some time off will be great to spend with family. We're beginning to organise Christmas lunch which I always look forward to a lot! @ArraDreaming

I live in a rural location @Former-Member

I may be able to do day rehab as an outpatient at a later date. But I will need clearance from my surgeon before that can be approved. And I wont see him until 14th January, which is also when I hope to get cleared to drive again as well.

Yes Coles and Woolies do deliver, but not every day. And several days notice is required. Plus there is minimum order value as well, and since there is only me, who eats very little, that complicates matters.

No matter, I will figure something out.

Yeah it’ll be good, having it at home is good for all those reasons, our oldest copes ok with change but struggles when it goes on too long, and he’ll just decide (like me sometimes lol) that his social meter has been filled and is ready for bed, and there is no pushing it after that, he has been doing “magic tricks” and can’t wait to show all the people at “daparty” (like it’s one word I don’t know why 😆)

Oooh Christmas lunch who do you have that with @amber22

Re: Share a cuppa?

Aw that is too cute!! I get that, my social battery sometimes runs out and I wish I could just hop right off to bed too!

We have Christmas lunch at home just with our immediate family, its very relaxed but thats how I like it, just being together with some good food @ArraDreaming

Re: Share a cuppa?

I completely agree sometimes I’m out with people and it’s like a switch, I’m just like nah I’m done, this is why I hate getting lifts places they don’t have the same social battery as me and sometimes I’m so done so early lol and they just keep wanting to hang out/talk.

that sounds really nice! @amber22

Re: Share a cuppa?

I feel the exact same way! I thought I was the only one!

I always drive myself places because I get worried that if I go with someone else then I won't be able to leave exactly when I want to.

My social battery gets depleted very quickly as well, and I start to get a headache when I am due to have some introvert time.

I am so glad that you find this too as it makes me feel a lot less alone @ArraDreaming

Someone else who’s agrees with me!! @amber22
how nice is introvert time, we do this thing in our house where after being at work or with the kids all day, after the kids go down we have time to just like chill on our own if you want to but don’t have to, and then 10pm is the cut off for that so we don’t completle isolate ourselves all night, but also don’t burn out from being with people and talking all day

Re: Share a cuppa?

when people ask me if I’m introvert of extrovert I’m really not sure I think I’m both
