I've just made myself a cuppa and would love a friend if anyone is around?

@Shaz51, I imagine it will be with you for a while. I'm wondering what you would tell others in your position?
Go gentle on your self ❤️

That is a very good question @Former-Member , @amber22 , I think I will write an Update in Caring for Someone Living with Dementia more often as it is a totally new experience to me and to be able to help others is awesome

Thanks for the tag @Shaz51
Fish sounds good 😄
Hospital fare here tonight is beef stroganoff and mashed potato. And fresh fruit salad.
I barely got thru half of it. I really hate waste. 😔 Sadly my apetite remains poor, and my ability to stomach much continues to test me. The food is good though, I really cannot complain about quality, choice or variety.
Tea trolley will come rolling thru around 8pm. I will ask for a peppermint tea and a chocolate timtam.
Hi @Bow @Snowie @Former-Member @amber22 anyone else around

hey @Emelia8 ❤️ A peppermint tea and tim tam is my supper almost every evening 😊
Eeep, no appetite and hospital food is not a good combo.
How are you passing the days at the moment?

Hey @Emelia8
I don't think we have got the chance to properly meet, I'm Amber22, it is lovely to finally connect with you!
A peppermint tea and tim tam sound amazing, tim tams are my favourite biscuit at the moment.
How are you today?

I was filling my days with twice a day physio/rehab @Former-Member . But the hospital has a major COVID outbreak and all the rooms around me are now locked down. I am feeling like a tiny Island in a giant sea of COVID. so far I keep testing negative. But they have halted the rehab program as of today, in order to try to arrest the spread.
Since I am here for post surgery rehab, its pretty disappointing that I am now sitting in my room and being advised to stay there to avoid catching covid. I was due to go home Friday. But if I cant do the rehab I need, I just as well go home tomorrow. I have asked if I can. They have run some more blood tests to check a few things. And changed my surgical dressings in preparation. Should learn my fate tomorrow. 😊
Gee thats very decadent of you @Former-Member having peppermint tea and tim tam every night. Bit of a hospital treat for me.
I should make the most of it while I have it. Once Im home, there isnt much food-wise in my house. After being away in hospital for over 4 weeks. And I'm not allowed to drive for another month or so, so little chance to restock in a hurry. And I live alone. I might be on a starvation diet in the short term 😔 Not to worry. Did that for my first two weeks in hospital.
