I've just made myself a cuppa and would love a friend if anyone is around?

hey @Elke888 ❤️ That's so nice of you to say! What kind of "plunge" do you have in mind?
Also, cool! What language are you learning?
I've always wanted to learn a language, just for fun. I think maybe Italian or French hehe

Hi @Penny6 I hope your appointment tomorrow goes ok.
Just watching some tv @Former-Member with the dog cuddled up on the couch. Haven't really moved from here all day. Tried to do some things but couldn't find the motivation.

hey @Loz_3647. I'm sorry that you're feeling this way. I know you've been talking with the moderators via email ❤️
I know I've been in a similar spot before. So know that you're not alone

Good luck @Penny6 ❤️ My cats are my biggest comfort too
@Snowie, I have my cats here too! I have my legs out straight and my computer on my lap. And one of my cats has awkwardly curled herself up on my shins. It's not very comfy!
And oh boy, I have had many days like that too. I know it's been an extra tough for a while now. I know I used to shame myself a lot for it. Not sure if you do the same?
PS. what are you watching? I need some new TV recommendations. I've been re-watching terrible early 2000s tv shows with supernatural themes (Supernatural, True Blood, maybe Buffy is next!)

oh maybe just a big toe to start, then I will graduate from there lol
I am teaching myself Italian on Duolingo, it's a free app.
You should try it!
Be prepared to be patient when starting...
Have started teaching myself German too, which I believe is a lot easier to navigate, but Italian is a lot of fun.
Greek I dabbled in out of curiosity and enjoyed learning the concepts.

oohh @Elke888, you've tried so many!
Maybe you can coach me in Italian (if I ever start!). And I imagine Greek would be fun. It intrigues me because of how many modern words have roots in Greek. But I suppose Duolingo has modern greek?
Not sure if you think of learning a language as a "hobby", but I know for me, finding a hobby has been life-changing! I didn't realise how fulfilling having something outside of work (and just living) would be
