And @ArraDreaming . You read it. And it hurt. It is okay to feel hurt.

But are you going to let it get to you and pull you down for the next few days? You've been in a better place today. Crappy moments and situations DO happen. It's a fact.

The fact that he has not responded until now lets you know that he has chewed on what you sent.

If you need to, cry it out. And at the same time, remember the pain he caused you in having done so little for your mother. Are you going to let him continue hurting you?

Hugs

Re: Share a cuppa?

I think she's more Sci Fi than Fantasy but my favourite character would be the female protaganist in Avatar. Its been so long since Ive seen the movie so I cant even remember her name... Natiri or something. Anyway, I thought she was pretty cool. That strong sense of community, respecting all things in nature and having meaningful connection to people in her past and present.

Im going to make a hot chocolate now 🙂

I’m not sure if here is the thread to talk about it, it was before and now that I’ve read I don’t want to clog this space up @tyme

Having a decaf by the fire with my old snuggly cat tonight.

@Former-Member Also realising I… maybe am already a hobbit? Slow country lifestyle, check. Fondness of second breakfast, check. Hairy feets… well I guess there’s always something to work on

@tyme my closest coles has a few T2 teas but not many. I like going into the store just for the smells and it is a good reason to get out of the house!

@Former-Member I like watching history documentaries, especially ones associated on WW1 and WW2. I find them really interesting.

I hope all on here have a good day.

Hi @Snowie, you may be interested to know a little known fact that the very first transgender medical procedures came about as a result of World War 1.

During World War 1, a lot of soldiers were suffering very traumatic and disabling groin injuries that they needed to get prostheses (which are now-a-days called packers, and yes transgender men also use them), also, they needed HRT to replace the testosterone their bodies weren't producing anymore, and that's also when the first phaloplasties were perfected. Medical science was then beginning to explore the role of hormones in the body at that time, and men who'd had their tackle damaged or blown off provided a great sample to compare with male control samples. Also at that time, transgender men started attending the surgery of a very brave English surgeon who started doing research into what it is that determines gender identity, which isn't simply a case of hormones or being male or female. So we have WW1 to thank for transgender medicine, and this is one instance where instead of the male-born, it was the female-born who got in first.
