It's warmer here tonight @Meowmy, I've just had dinner and am about to go to bed. Today I went and gave a blood sample for my blood test for next week's injection. Feeling a bit triggered, I got verbally insulted by someone with cerebral palsy. I don't even know the man but he seemed to think he knew me and was aggressive, and hostile in his judgement of me. If I'd reproached him about his judgement Alison he'd have said "How dare you tell me I'M being judgemental.". This is exactly what I'm talking about when I say we're all judgemental, and most of us will never know that they also are judgemental. That's why nonjudgemtalism is a losing battle.

I believe that when we talk about nonjudgementalism we're really only talking about the kind of personal nonjudgementalism we as individuals want others to apply to us. It doesn't matter or occur to someone else wants a different one...and the reality is we can only get THAT nonjudgementalism from ourselves, when we look for it in others it's the wrong place to look, and it's unfair to ask that of others and then be disappointed that they've let us down.

Anyway I'm off to bed, I have things to do tomorrow.

Yep, I just said to someone else that working with MI is really difficult. Glad to hear you're looking out for yourself and taking the steps you need. Sometimes the pressures of work and responsibility can be heavy and hinder self care strategies.
