Welcome and getting started

Introduction

Introduction

Hi guys I am new here but just skipped over introducing myself and threw myself straight into the forums so let's rewind a minute.

I was diagnosed with Bipolar Affective Disorder in 1990. It changed my life and not in a good way. My mother said "now you will never do anything with your life" and my Aunt said "we should put her in an institution". It was right then that I decided that I would live the best life I possibly could with this illness. I since met and married my husband and we had 3 gorgeous children who have all now reached adulthood. I have been in and out of hospital a lot since around 2008 and somewhere along the way had BPD added to my diagnosis. I enjoy art and crafts, playing computer games and watching tv. I was working with a psychologist and we were going to work on childhood trauma as I grew up in an abusive household but I kept getting sick so we are currently on a break. Not sure if I want to go back to therapy at this point in time. Not sure what else to add so I will just leave it here. Feel free to ask questions x

@tonys

Looking forward to you coming in to paint the town some more. I also hope that @Sophia1 has her compass and finds here way back home to us. I hope that she is ok! I am worried about her but I trust Sane are checking in with her.

It’s a lot of reading to catch up on our nonsense @Shaz51 but if you want to book a room at our saloon we can give you a brief overview.

Re: Introduction

Hi @Oaktree thanks for kind words my friend.. Yes well you bring the "easy" out of me Meggle.

We did share a park bench well, straight from day one, and its only got better.

I'm always pretty much at ease, unless someone really gets on my case. There are people we always try to avoid hey, Nothing wrong with that. Then there are those comfortable, yes dear , no dear, slippers that I like so much.

The purpose of life is happiness. The book keeper calls me a ' pound puppy rescue"

And lets face it.. when I misbehave, well you have to be a good mate to handle my antics.

Sooo... thanks again and have a peaceful Anzac.. @Oaktree tonys 2 gns.

@Oaktree omg Trixie motel looks awesome! I am 100% going to watch it! You should check out "hurricane Bianca" with Bianca del Rio, it's hilarious, so good.

Morning @tonys, what shenanigans are you up to today?

Re: Introduction

I dunno @Oaktree, you wouldn't think it would be but I managed it. I sucked my finger with wet nailpolish on... It was HORRIBLE! Like burning poison...
