Welcome and getting started

Introduction

Introduction

Hi guys I am new here but just skipped over introducing myself and threw myself straight into the forums so let's rewind a minute.

I was diagnosed with Bipolar Affective Disorder in 1990. It changed my life and not in a good way. My mother said "now you will never do anything with your life" and my Aunt said "we should put her in an institution". It was right then that I decided that I would live the best life I possibly could with this illness. I since met and married my husband and we had 3 gorgeous children who have all now reached adulthood. I have been in and out of hospital a lot since around 2008 and somewhere along the way had BPD added to my diagnosis. I enjoy art and crafts, playing computer games and watching tv. I was working with a psychologist and we were going to work on childhood trauma as I grew up in an abusive household but I kept getting sick so we are currently on a break. Not sure if I want to go back to therapy at this point in time. Not sure what else to add so I will just leave it here. Feel free to ask questions x

Re: Introduction

Hey @Oaktree Yes, well for me house work simply is not a past time. I like an ecosystem.

Since the book keeper moved in, the pig and chooks are barred, and when I'm bad , so am I

I'm pragmatic. We'll I don't need to tell you about military "programming"

I remember my past, but thanks to my brain injury, It never affected me much at all far as I can see. Thick skin, don't get me wrong, I still laugh at mister Ed and cry in all the right spots in the soppy Movies, but I enjoy my big hot mug of toughen the F up every morn, and theres a few people depend on me.

What does upset me is that you have a hump that could well have been avoided if you folks had done the right thing. I've got my water boarding kit in my toybox somewhere. Have to grill you about your childhood later. Lot of things start there.

Yes we would be mates . . . . because we are. Once you hit the road, our roads will cross. Just chop you hubbys legs off, sear em closed with a hot fry pan, on the

roof rack and your good to go. . .

OH, cant say I really miss my real parents, 5 years old, i didn't realy develop the bond yet.

Never spend my todays regretting my yesterdays. . . . Slap me will ya.

what recycled old droll cliché , that was.

8 is my lucky number too,

Book keeper hid a big bag of mixed chocolates back of the fridge. I Found em and 8 the lot.

Keeping out of her way for now. I smell food. Gotta fly or Ill miss out on barb b q.

Re: Introduction

Well @tonys there isn’t much to tell about my childhood.

Physically abusive alcoholic father and emotionally abusive mother. They got divorced when I was almost 9. I had no contact with half my siblings or my Dad after that. I still have a strained relationship with the two siblings that live in the same state as me.

Even though my childhood was a little unstable I was a happy and resilient kid. Things happened that I can’t talk about because they will trigger others but I am a survivor.

Enjoy your bbq mate.

Yes well 9 years old is a sensitive time and you were in a cross fire too. I'm sure there is lots to tell. Some. Your lifes a serries of opp's . Some contacts, hotter than others.

The worst is the waiting hey. When you stop hearing the birds, You know troubles in the mail.

Drunks are unpredictable. and I never got it. Couple of reds and I'm all bubbles till i fall asleep in my chair. Think the drink brings out the deeper truth in a man. But your mother interests me. Not now, but one day If it rains, and thoughts progress to a share. . .

Steak sandwich needs two hands to steer it, so its back to the trough with the rest of the pickers. tonys m b 1

My kind of huminoid. I eat fish, shrimp , yabby's , fresh water muscles, out of the river most nights. Think I even scalled an old boot few nights back.

For got to say, few acres of old variety tomatoes. Found a special market for them.

We do sweet potatoes and and snow peas are a winner too.

Tonns of eggs of all sorts. there geese and chooks ducks wandering around everywhere,

People just come and pick em up, no charge. The deal is you gotta bring you scraps or bread. and a carton. the moneys in the snow peas and toms. I could really go some chips,

Shouldn't have mentioned them. Hey . . . what your thought on the perfect chip.

And you know what, It just ocurred to me the whole shite show was Romans behaving badly, so what do I go and say. when in rome. . .!

beter go again, . . . incoming. . tonys mb 1. . .

I prefer Salt and Vinegar chips or were you talking hot chips? I like the crispy ones with chicken salt on them.

Re: Introduction

Yes I was, you had me unwrapping the paper and going for the pickled onion, bit of chicken salt n balsamic , on the side , and dead horse. don't wanna make em soggy.

Go back 3 spaces, chance card says, salt and vinegar, crisp, chips, do not pass go do not collect $200. . . . Now don't go breaking my heart here. . Are we talking the unleaded, or the real macoy, kettle chips. And to be clear, we are talking about something sacred. Mate I love

love love a big bag of kettle S n Vs chips. ? @Oaktree

So< are you for sure we are not related.

Re: Introduction

Ooh yassss! Kettle balsamic S & V chips but they are mighty expensive. Quite often I make do with ALDI’s cheaper option. Maybe we are related.

I love pickles too. Onions and gherkins but make the gherkins Spring Gully to make me really happy. Now you have me salivating lol.
