should i feel bad for letting my partner down

should i feel bad for letting my partner down

Hi and thanks for reading.Due to my physical state i am not able to travel far without suffering for it.We are supposed to be going away for a weekend with friends but it involves 2.5 hrs driving.

i know i will be sore and unhappy after the trip so im not going.I know she is dissappointed and wants me to go but i just cant.

she does understand but this just adds to my why even bother living if you have no quality of life and its affecting others.

Really need to make a decision to see a end of life specialist but i am nervous that they will try and talk me around

do any others feel this way

Sorry to hear you are being put through the wringer @Former-Member I would try focus on the positive advice from your specialist if you can, new treatments are coming out all the time. @Shaz51 may be able to tag someone who is in a similar position to you hopefully who may have found some relief from constant pain. Re: should i feel bad for letting my partner down

I cant even get a specialist do the surgery (both of them)in any reasonable time frame.

You get brushed aside when you become a difficult patient.

Yes I am demanding but considering I never had pain in my leg or hip till after the spine surgery I believe there is negligence on their side and they should fix it.

As over said I went from a full time working mechanic with a bad back to 1 year later not being able to work or travel to see kids or grandkids and this is causing me a lot of grief.

So I've been left with no quality of life and no prospect of a life without pain even after the surgeries.

I should be able to sue these people.

But that wont stop the pain I now live in every day.

If I could settle how to tell or stop the trauma on my grandkids I would finish it all tomorrow.

And once I can end of life without pain will be an easy choice

Hi @Former-Member ,

That sounds like a incredibly painful experience and I imagine creates a lot of frustration and anger for you.
I can really hear how much your family, especially your grandchildren mean to you. I am really hoping you can get the surgeries done quicker than expected and they bring you some relief.

Please keep reaching out here as needed.

Thanks but after speaking to doctors today it looks like Sept earliest for hip and November for back and no guarantee it will fix pain so no real point in going ahead with them.

So now all I need to decide is what I tell my grandkids
