Doctors and their lack of empathy
I have been a long-term sufferer of chronic pain 5 spinal surgeries up to 2016. Finally, the back has given out again and off to the surgeon 3 more surgeries and a promise of we can help you 1 year further down the track I'm worse than I've ever been. Along with hip damage done during the surgery which now also has to be fixed.
the thing that really gets me down is when they talk down at you, not to you.
It will all be okay give it a few months all will heal fine.
I'm sure we all have heard these words of wisdom from the doctors.
well, 6 months since the last surgery and they want to do another for the spine and another for the hip but when I asked for some guarantee that this will fix the issues you can almost see them running for the door.
I'm a mechanic and If i stuff something up I can cause a bus accident or if I break something during work i am expected to foot the bill and fix it at my cost.
the thing is these people are getting paid serious amounts of money and i understand they have an important job and pressure and i dont deny them their large salary but i do expect they should be accountable for there claims and actions.
i sit at home now cant work suffering chronic pain worse than ive ever been and wondering even if i still want to be on this planet and they just carry on as usual with no accountability
Sorry Rant over but i am just done done with the whole life in pain issues and dealing with doctors, centrelink and any other gov dept you want to throw into the mix.
i honestly believe i would be better off not here anymore
