Don't forget to fill your prescriptions

Hi everyone. @Former-Member @Former-Member @BlueBay @Former-Member @Decadian @MoonGal @concientiouscows. Well after an eventful weekend, I'm back. I forgot to get my script filled before my pharmacy closed for the weekend (country town). Because I didn't have one of the tablets I need to take, I decided to take an old medication that I used to take. Bad mistake. Nothing serious happened - thank god, but the old tablets didn't work & I got no sleep Saturday night. Then finally fell asleep Sunday afternoon & slept right through the night. Therefore I didn't take any of my medications Sunday night. Woke up Monday shaking / trembling. Probably from AD withdrawal. That's why I had to log out. Took til Monday night for the shakes to stop.
So I'll be 100% certain to double check I have enough medication to last me through weekends frim now on.
I hope everyone's week so far has been a bit smoother than mine.

I'm glad you are okay

What you have written in very important - I always count my regular medcation - it lasts exactly 4 weeks and I have to make sure that I get my script and have it filled straight away - I will miss a dose maybe once a year - not intended and it's one of those medications than need to be taken regularly

So we need to have our eyes on public holidays also - or when our doctor or we are having holidays -

We have a public holiday on Friday 30th of September in Melbourne - so people can go to the Grand Final Parade - pretty weak excuse for a public holiday imo - but still - here we are. I got caught by surprise by this strange event last year but this year I will be telling people at the clinic I need an appointment on the Thursday -

I went to a foot ball match once - in 1986 - I had a great time

A public holiday though - oh well

I am sorry you went through all of that - and glad you are over it - hopefully - over it

Hi @utopia hope you are ok now.. yeah, I went to chemist here a couple weeks ago .. they gave my script to someone else who walked out with it.. what the..was in total disbelief, well they sorted it, but will be checking actual stuff they give me in future.. could not believe it

Thanks @TAB & @Decadian. Ihave a number of different medications. The AD's are a months worth and I have a repeat script. The strong sleeping tablets I obly get a script for 1 & 1/2 weeks worth. Thibk it's a protective messure from the doctors. The meds for the physical illnesses are also all over the place.
what can I say - I had the scripts but just forgot to fill them.
I must admit my memory is getting worse not better, even though mentally I'm improving. Although that could be a side effect of a couple of the meds. Better to have a bad memory - than suicidal thoughts though.
I'll keep in mind 30th September as I'm in Victoria.

Thanks for the laugh @TAB. But I'm proud to be Victorian. But I would love to visit WA one day and have a holiday.

@utopia have been here last 4 years, and most of 6 years before that working here. Ok I haven't seen much of Victoria, Melbourne a long long time ago and Mildura etc also driving through to NSW
