Daily Achievements!

Daily Achievements!

Hi forum friends! I've decided to start a new thread on Daily Achievements because I suffer from depression as one of my mental illness and that means it's often hard for me to remind myself that I do actually things in my day, no matter how small they may be. I thought forumites could post here a daily achievement or 2 so we can remind ourselves that we have done something good each day. It can be as big or as small as you like. Just as long as what you did makes you proud and happy.

I'm tagging @roses @Bow @Shaz51 @BPDSurvivor @saltandpepper @Daisydreamer @Former-Member @Former-Member @Former-Member @TideisTurning @Former-Member @frog @Sans911 @outlander

in case you might be interested as well as anyone else who wants to join in!

So, to get this discussion started, I'll post my achievements today which are:

- I had a gorgeous cup of tea which helped me deal with some anxiety I was experiencing;

- I paid my car registration which was due today.

See what I mean about achievements? Mine may seem small or irrelevant to some people but to me, because I have depression, these are actually major in the scheme of my life. I look forward to seeing what everyone comes up with.

@Appleblossom I’m a spotless clean, neat minimalist freak 🤪 I don’t have pets or indoor plants. Love eating peanut butter with a spoon straight from the jar.

lol @Glisten Now there is a contradiction in terms ... icky ... saliva in the communal peanutbutter!

Busy today ... not perfect. Son spotted a cobweb on a light. He cleaned it for me. Success!

Slept in today Its technically past Good Morning. I did do some watering, picked bok choy, meal planning and had me coffee.

Yesterday had a busy social day. 2 groups. One in person at my house 6 people doing music. and one online mental health 6 people. Need relax time to feel my body do stretches give myself a head rub. Bloomin headaches always there, so distractions always welcome. I seem to have shifted all my crippling social anxiety from when I was a teen and young woman. Learning to stand firm and stand tall (which is an issue) cos I used to hunch over to fit in with short friends which probably contributed to my neck issues.

Today off to shops with son: post office and supermarket shopping. Wicked me roping him into boring stuff while I have got him in the car.

@Appleblossom my trapezius muscles are like granite, gives me a sore stiff neck. Think I need Botox injections.

@Glisten 23 years ago, I went to a masseur who said mine were like concrete (yours are more stylish lol). He used a weird contraption to help ... it was for jockeys to lose weight, kind of like a capsule with a temperature set. He said that cooling down the muscle meant he could he could actually get his hands in and knead. He assured me he had very strong hands and been a butcher before doing massage. Anyway, he most have dislodged some of my concrete and loosened things up a bit, as nowadays it is much better. I really appreciated his input, but I moved away and could only afford a little. He also recommended I garden to be active and take glucosamine and chondroitin. I still take it but only with added chondroitin when I am feeling rich.
