Daily Achievements!

Daily Achievements!

Hi forum friends! I've decided to start a new thread on Daily Achievements because I suffer from depression as one of my mental illness and that means it's often hard for me to remind myself that I do actually things in my day, no matter how small they may be. I thought forumites could post here a daily achievement or 2 so we can remind ourselves that we have done something good each day. It can be as big or as small as you like. Just as long as what you did makes you proud and happy.

I'm tagging @roses @Bow @Shaz51 @BPDSurvivor @saltandpepper @Daisydreamer @Former-Member @Former-Member @Former-Member @TideisTurning @Former-Member @frog @Sans911 @outlander

in case you might be interested as well as anyone else who wants to join in!

So, to get this discussion started, I'll post my achievements today which are:

- I had a gorgeous cup of tea which helped me deal with some anxiety I was experiencing;

- I paid my car registration which was due today.

See what I mean about achievements? Mine may seem small or irrelevant to some people but to me, because I have depression, these are actually major in the scheme of my life. I look forward to seeing what everyone comes up with.

WTG @TAB @MDT @outlander

Picked parsely and spring onion for chick ceasar salad tonight.

Am on top of cleaning and most of laundry, plus changed bedding yesterday.

Tonight was cancelled so Made grand decision to put on dressing gown and stay inside, but busy and pottering, reading novel, doing music and tidying.

Today I:

Got up and went to gym
had a coffee and a muffin at a new place in a new nearby neighbourhood i once looked at renting a place in lol
came home and applied for 2 tutoring gigs to do on the side of my usual job
showered
had a healthy lunch
put on washing and then dryer (still going atm)
Did financial stuff
Sent off TAFE enquiries
now sitting down to watch a lecture about religion and meaning with a tea and a kitkat
decided everything else i need to do is less important

Re: Daily Achievements!

Sounds good @MDT that is a lot of stuff being done. Let me know if I’m alone on this one, I do a lot of stuff, but looking back at it, doesn’t seem much?

what’s your take on my thinking, need more self love?

going to a toxic place?

Re: Daily Achievements!

..what are you looking at doing at Tafe @MDT ?

Re: Daily Achievements!

Its not about how much @Former-Member
Its about why

All the stuff I'm doing is to fix things and/or investigate other opportunities to get things in order.

Its also the case that I think maybe these days I'm just more productive about it all idk

For me I'm also moving away from a toxic place - the feeling of being overwhelmed by things. By things which I know I can get on top of and then make them go away.

If your self love is conditional on doing things, maybe there is a deeper force at play there. It's worth sitting down with and asking yourself what it may be.
