Daily Achievements!

Daily Achievements!

Hi forum friends! I've decided to start a new thread on Daily Achievements because I suffer from depression as one of my mental illness and that means it's often hard for me to remind myself that I do actually things in my day, no matter how small they may be. I thought forumites could post here a daily achievement or 2 so we can remind ourselves that we have done something good each day. It can be as big or as small as you like. Just as long as what you did makes you proud and happy.

I'm tagging @roses @Bow @Shaz51 @BPDSurvivor @saltandpepper @Daisydreamer @Former-Member @Former-Member @Former-Member @TideisTurning @Former-Member @frog @Sans911 @outlander

in case you might be interested as well as anyone else who wants to join in!

So, to get this discussion started, I'll post my achievements today which are:

- I had a gorgeous cup of tea which helped me deal with some anxiety I was experiencing;

- I paid my car registration which was due today.

See what I mean about achievements? Mine may seem small or irrelevant to some people but to me, because I have depression, these are actually major in the scheme of my life. I look forward to seeing what everyone comes up with.

Re: Daily Achievements!

Hey everyone, it’s my first time in this thread but I thought it would be a good way to recognise my achievements from today.

Today’s big (for me at least) achievement was getting housework done - mainly doing dishes, doing and sorting laundry, and taking the bins out.

The people I live with would normally take care of all of that for me, but they’re not here at the moment. Usually when they’re away, my mental illness really flares up and I barely have the motivation to look after myself. But the dip in my mental health has only been small so far and I am managing okay with getting things done, so I am proud of myself, and am hoping it lasts.

Re: Daily Achievements!

Hi Peoples... some achievements out of necessity today. We're going to be traveling to visit my parents while there's a suitable(ish) break in the weather, so I needed to make sure things were ready for us to leave. Hubby and I managed to get down some of the very overgrown weeds in our yard (not all, but it's an improvement), and I pulled out a bunch of rhubarb sitting in the fridge threatening to go off, stewed it, used one cupful to make a fruit slice to take with us, and the rest is going into the freezer for some other time. I kept aside a few of the freshest looking stems that should still be good when we get back for a rhubarb relish recipe I've been wanting to try.
We'll do a quick pack in the morning, and then get on our way. Only a four day trip, so we don't need to take much.
