Daily Achievements!

Daily Achievements!

Hi forum friends! I've decided to start a new thread on Daily Achievements because I suffer from depression as one of my mental illness and that means it's often hard for me to remind myself that I do actually things in my day, no matter how small they may be. I thought forumites could post here a daily achievement or 2 so we can remind ourselves that we have done something good each day. It can be as big or as small as you like. Just as long as what you did makes you proud and happy.

I'm tagging @roses @Bow @Shaz51 @BPDSurvivor @saltandpepper @Daisydreamer @Former-Member @Former-Member @Former-Member @TideisTurning @Former-Member @frog @Sans911 @outlander

in case you might be interested as well as anyone else who wants to join in!

So, to get this discussion started, I'll post my achievements today which are:

- I had a gorgeous cup of tea which helped me deal with some anxiety I was experiencing;

- I paid my car registration which was due today.

See what I mean about achievements? Mine may seem small or irrelevant to some people but to me, because I have depression, these are actually major in the scheme of my life. I look forward to seeing what everyone comes up with.

Re: Daily Achievements!

Thanks @tyme I am loving my course.

You did well mowing the lawn, I pay someone to do mine!

Re: Daily Achievements!

So happy to hear you are loving your course @Eve7 ! I really enjoy what I learn at uni - Master's level or above. I just struggle with undergraduate work and assignments.

I also find the compulsory 'academic writing' (or whatever name they give) unit very tedious. I've studied at 6 different unis and they all want you to do this course. I understand the importance of academic writing, but after 6 unis?

Anyway, I'll stop rambling. Main thing is you are enjoying your course. You're amazing that you can fit all that in, plus family!

Re: Daily Achievements!

Oh, and I HATE gardening. Mowing is okay if I do it regularly. I used to have these amazing neighbours @Eve7 - they used to do my lawns for me. However, they moved out about 6 months ago, so now I have to do it.

In the summer, it sort of do it weekly-fortnightly. I don't think I'd pay someone to do it weekly-fortnightly for me. However, maybe I'll call someone in to do the edges and everything once in a while. My main struggle is keeping grass from growing in the garden beds....

Re: Daily Achievements!

That Academic writing one completely does my head in @tyme . My first assignment came back with all the colours of the rainbow over my references lol.

Re: Daily Achievements!

LOL... and referencing keeps changing anyway. Like seriously, why do you need so many editions of APA referencing?!?! @Eve7

As for your rainbow assignment, just pretend there's a pot of gold waiting at the end of the rainbow. That'll be enough to help you recover from the colours lol... too funny.

There are some lecturers who pic at every dot, and others who don't really care.

Re: Daily Achievements!

I also paid my car registration today! That was an achievement. I also read three chapters of a novel which is great because often I can't concentrate that long.

Re: Daily Achievements!

Hey everyone!

I thought I would make a post here to see if we had any daily achievements today that we wanted to share? ❤️

I started doing an assignment that I had been putting off for a few weeks, and the due date is getting VERY close, so I am really proud of myself for finally sitting down to start it!

Looking forward to hearing anyone else's daily highlights that wanted to share 🙂
