Daily Achievements!

Daily Achievements!

Hi forum friends! I've decided to start a new thread on Daily Achievements because I suffer from depression as one of my mental illness and that means it's often hard for me to remind myself that I do actually things in my day, no matter how small they may be. I thought forumites could post here a daily achievement or 2 so we can remind ourselves that we have done something good each day. It can be as big or as small as you like. Just as long as what you did makes you proud and happy.

I'm tagging @roses @Bow @Shaz51 @BPDSurvivor @saltandpepper @Daisydreamer @Former-Member @Former-Member @Former-Member @TideisTurning @Former-Member @frog @Sans911 @outlander

in case you might be interested as well as anyone else who wants to join in!

So, to get this discussion started, I'll post my achievements today which are:

- I had a gorgeous cup of tea which helped me deal with some anxiety I was experiencing;

- I paid my car registration which was due today.

See what I mean about achievements? Mine may seem small or irrelevant to some people but to me, because I have depression, these are actually major in the scheme of my life. I look forward to seeing what everyone comes up with.

Re: Daily Achievements!

Well done @Former-Member, so many achievements ticked off the list today for you! 🎉

I love oil pulling, it's the first thing I do when I wake. It's actually become quite the meditative practice over the years. Have you ever tried it whilst meditating?

I also noticed you practice Qigong, is that right? I haven't practised it for a little while now, but I used to follow Lee Holden's routines. Do you follow online routines or meet up with others for group Qigong? I thought I'd share one of Lee Holden's youtube evening qigong routines, in case you were interested. I hope you like it. 😊

Re: Daily Achievements!

Hey @Former-Member thanks for connecting! Yes I got a lot done today which is great now I'm devising a list of things to do in the kitchen and garden tomorrow. I used to attend a qigong group on the other side of town in a neighborhood house in natural forest setting but no longer have a car so its not do-able. I wonder how people are factoring in the prices of petrol on low incomes. It must be hard.

I used to follow Mantak Chia with Qigong but found his broken English and procedural steps hard to follow so I hopped across to "YoQi " with Marisa on you tube. She is a lovely young woman with a good energy about her. Yes I'm also on Lee Holden's mailing list and love his guidance! I follow his free stuff lately because he was a student of Mantak Chias and I can understand him a bit better. I like Mantak Chias healing sounds for your organ systems at the end of the day. It works hard at clearing your organs of residual negative energy. I also like his taoist arts exercises for filling your body with more chi if you are fatigued.

Re: Daily Achievements!

Petrol prices are ridiculous right now @Former-Member. It really does make it incredibly tough for low-income earners, on top of all the other things being inflated currently. The place where you used to practice qigong sounds like a lovely place! I hope you're able to revisit it again sometime soon.

I had not heard of Mantak Chia, but I will definitely check them out! I frequently fall asleep listening to different solfeggio frequencies. I think it's a similar principle that helps to shift the energy in certain organs/chakras.

I also wanted to share that you've inspired me to do some Qigong this weekend, so thank you! 😊

I try to do things @Captain24 Structuring my day enables me to cope with life. When I am not doing things I don't feel so great so try to get my mojo on and do what I can ❤️

Its definitely worth having a healthful routine as it honors your bodyclock. Look up the book "The Perfect Day Plan" by Jost Sauer - he is a traditional chinese doctor and says the chi cycle routine outlined in this book is your best friend and enables you to flourish.

His work with the chi cycle has received rave reviews and encore presentations in Australian magazines and media and I concur it will change your life. Successful professionals, athletes and health enthusiasts all follow the chi cycle. It will also make you intrinsically happy apart from being productive in whatever way you are able.

Using easy actionable steps will little to no effort can be implemented straight away. Its so easy but has dramatic results. I follow it mainly because it makes me feel fantastic! 😋

Re: Daily Achievements!

I know its pretty awful these price hikes. I catch public transport so it kind of works out unless I need a taxi. I did my sums and it costed me so much money just to have my car sitting idle in the driveway with only short trips with servicing, rego and insurance. So it wasn't worth it. I'm in a regional country area so its long distances from A to B. BTW I hope you enjoy your Qigong, it keeps me stable and is definitely worth doing this gentle type of easy and accessible exercise @Former-Member especially as we get older

Re: Daily Achievements!

I’ll go to the local bookstore this morning @Former-Member and have a look. If the town is not to busy with tourists.

I feel like I need something to get some motivation in the day. The only time I feel a little motivated is in the mornings or the day before I have to go back to work because everything has to be sorted. When I leave everything to the last minute the dark place comes in earlier and faster and puts me a really bad place. Maybe some structure is what I need.

Thanks

Re: Daily Achievements!

I know, I understand @Captain24 I still get in those emotions if I fall off the wagon. I have to force myself to hop back on and stick to routine as much as possible. I found the chi cycle routine was one of the few things that kept me buoyant happy and healthful. You feel better and your life improves dramatically. Like I said there are occasions when you may slip but you just keep on going. People around you will notice the change in you and wonder why you have such a happy disposition and positive outlook. They will either get annoyed by it or wonder "how they can get what you've got?" Its incredible what the chi cycle will do! With a few simple and easy adjustments life will begin to flow and get better for you 💙
