Let`s talk about Bipolar

Hi Everyone

I don’t know if this is bipolar or just me being stable. I have been guilty of things like the following:

- playing one song over and over and over (lots of complaints)

- playing music I don’t really like over and over just to have noise

- cooking up to four things at a time (and pulling it off)

- having up to four books on the go at once (I pick them up by how I feel)

- needing to have something playing on the television while I read

- watching movies end to end with no noise

Is it just that I have an active brain? I wonder if some of this is linked to my OCD. Other thoughts are that this is all entirely normal - but I sense not due to the number of complaints and/or comments I’ve had. Maybe residual bipolar as I’m stable at the moment?

If you click on Post Options, you should see Subscribe as an option. I usually find if I reply to a thread I'm automatically subscribed to it

I have been diagnosed as having Bipolar for the past 47 years as well. How do you get through each day?

Hello @Lynette and welcome. It's certainly not easy, but some days are better than others. Are you working? Do you have things to look forward to? I've been struggling a bit lately but am trying to get back to a routine and having a to-do list.

Hello. Newbie to SANE. Looking to talk to those who have experienced Bipolar 1 & Psychosis.

I find it difficult talking about my experience with family & friends. They seem disinterested. A lot of frightening things happened - especially during my first time as a Psych patient.

Would anyone be interested in listening, and sharing their experience? Or, direct me to somewhere else?
