@HenryX

Thanks for the link for new contributors. It gave me some clarification I was previously lacking. Hopefully my skills will improve over time. It was kind and thoughtful of you to point me in the right direction.

All the very best

@Shaz51

It's been amazing reading other people's bipolar journey's. I started off on the last evening talk about bipolar by first entering the discussion late, and then thinking I had missed 120 or so pages of chat. It was very helpful on about page 11 when you all started wishing each other happy easter in early April, so I decided to check the date and it was last year. I've learnt so much in my life through making mistakes, although these days I try to only make the same mistake once. I can't seem to get it right with the mood polarities though, it's easy enough when I'm depressed, I just hide out and bother no-one, but when mania visits it's hang onto your hat, and remember to breathe, and practise kindness. I can be a bit of a grudge holder which does myself no favours.

Lately I'm enjoying watching the flight of swallows, the view from the front porch from mid dawn to day, and learning some songs on the ukulele.

I'm feeling a bit sore from my OA flareups, but I am working on accepting suffering as a universal human condition, connecting rather than isolating.

All the very best @Shaz51 @HenryX @Olga @tyme @Dimity and others

Hello folks

@grayhornnot sure if we've crossed paths before. Just wanted to say thanks for something you said:

'I am working on accepting suffering as a universal human condition, connecting rather than isolating'

@Delicatessenhello - don't know if we've met here. It's good to connect with others who get it and I'm glad you're here.

Thanks for continuing to tag me @Shaz51 Even though I've been unresponsive, I know you are there and you care.

Hi @HenryX @Olga @eth @Mazarita and friends.

I'm very down and dropping. And tired of struggling. The diminishing light might be adding to it as I do notice a bit of a pattern that way.

Hi @frog

Nice to meet you. Not good to hear things are on the decline. I hope you’re ok.

I am doing sort of ok. A bit exhausted. Wendy and saw my psychiatrist today. Session had both highs and lows. And unfortunately some tears. Amazing how the list of things to discuss or confront seems to magically grow sometimes. My doctor is however a fantastic support for me though. I am very thankful.

@frog

Hi Frog

I've been reading some of the forums for a few years now, too shy/unconfident to poke my head out. Your name is familiar to me. Thankx for your kind words.

Re the struggle, it sure is tiring, and yes, the changes in seasonal light reliably affect my energy patterns too.

I've been re-examining my understanding of compassion, which I studied deeply about 20 years ago, as it was a word I was completely unfamiliar with. Upon reflection I realised I imbibed only the harshest aspect of compassion, tough love, and took that for complete understanding. Consequently when things got tough I was so tough on myself.

Now I need to reframe - warmth and patience during/after failure or hurt, see limitations as human, know everyone feels inadequate at times. Struggle street either way and fleeting joy too.

Sitting with you @frog @Shaz51 @Olga @HenryX
