Hello @Shaz51 and other visitors to the thread.

I am well, but feeling cold. Temperature is about 16 deg C, but weather report says it feels like 11 deg because of wind and heavy cloud cover.

Have a few things planned for today, so looking forward to warming up with the activity.

Best Wishes

@HenryX

Hello @Former-Member @Shaz51 @HenryX it's sunny here but a cold gusty wind.

I hope you can pace yourself getting the house ready for the family @Former-Member, it's a big undertaking. Don't push yourself too hard, it must be an anxious time but you can't carry all the responsibility by yourself. @Shaz51 you too, I don't know if you can talk to your kids about the decisions that need to be made. I've just been sorting some legal stuff (will) and my nieces/nephews were pleased when I involved them. It surprised me.

Hello @Dimity @HenryX @Shaz51 Getting things in order helps with feeling more in control and less overwhelmed. We have had sunshine today, yippee...decided to go for a walk but now exhausted so relaxing for the rest of the day. Take care ❤️

Re: Let`s talk about Bipolar

Yes @HenryX no tears today. I try work hard physically through it so I become exhausted it doesn't always work for me but today is great thank you 😊

Good to hear you are getting some fencing done. When we were up at Galena bridge doing free camping I wondered how far you were away as it would have been nice to be able to offer you a helping pair of hands! Hope the weather warms up for you 💙

Thank you @Former-Member

The major part of the fencing is completed, just tidying up now. It is pleasant to think that we can extend sentiments of support in this forum environment. I am smiling as I write this, so the sentiments offered are gratefully received, and do have a positive effect.

Best Wishes

Re: Let`s talk about Bipolar

@Shaz51 it's good you've got most of the family backing you up. Your health has to come first. Do you have any timelines for the transplant, or are you still investigating?

I wish I'd had more family support when I was looking after my late parents, I tried but my MH wasn't good and I was having repeated surgery. I dropped out from my work and studies. I still regret I couldn't do more.

Re: Let`s talk about Bipolar

Hello and welcome @BPTrivicalBPD @Owen45 to 'Let's talk about Bipolar'. You might like to browse this thread particularly the earlier posts where people shared coping strategies. It's natural that life seems a bit flat after the worst peaks and troughs have been resolved but that's part of moving forward. Our diet, exercise and social connection can be a help or hindrance and need our attention too.

@Shaz51 @HenryX @Former-Member @NewbieBipolar @Appleblossom @Meowmy @Mazarita @rivergal

So what are some of th we selfcare strategies that work for you, to lift you when you're feeling flat?

Best

Dimity

Re: Let`s talk about Bipolar

Hi @Dimity thanks for touching base.

I think I missed a lot over the weekend. I tried ignoring my bipolar and then crashed Sunday/Monday.

so new to me.

feeling more stable today.

Im trying to remember to use the self care I use when I'm feeling in the middle even when I'm totally flat, when getting out of bed seems too much.

So right now these are setting one small house task (load of washing, a bathroom)

using my journal which I've only started since diagnosis 9 days a go

plus yoga. I normally love yoga but when I'm so down my psych said to tell myself to just do 10 minutes...and both times now I've done that I've actually done another 10 as I feel so much better.

sunshine always helps me. Plus letting myself constantly know that I do enough for right now. That ones a constant battle in my head at the moment.

Would love to hear other people's and glad to have found this group.
