Hi @Fallen-Cracks
I just wanted to reach out and welcome you to the forums - it’s great to have you here
I absolutely believe the parts of your story that you shared with us
I’m so very sorry to hear that as a child you were placed into an adult mental health institution and that those who were meant to care for you hurt you in the most unimaginable ways
I can’t even begin to imagine your experiences
Your story is really important too
and I just wanted to ever so gently encourage you to continue to reach out as often as you need. Nothing is too big or too small and you’re more than welcome to share whatever feels comfortable for you. There’s absolutely no pressure or expectation in terms of what you share or when (as long as what we do share adheres to the community guidelines
)
Also, when I was new to the forums and still learning the ropes, one of the things that helped me to join in the conversations, was that if you place @ in front of a person’s name (just like I did for you at the very start of my message) they will receive a notification that you have contacted / replied to them
Towards the end of your message you shared that ‘maybe someone has some help or advice’ and I just wondered if there was anything in particular that you would find helpful at this time?
Looking forward to seeing you around the forums
Take care of yourself,
ShiningStar
