Welcome and getting started

Medication experience

Medication experience

Hey yall,

Just wanted to hear how meds affected you, did they help your symptoms and how?

I ve just started new meds 3 weeks in now for BP antipsychotics and mood stabilisers.

I ve been feeling alot more calm and even though I'm.still getting ups and downs I feel better able to identify body signs before it manifests into an episode... most of the time.

Also feeling almost manic when it comes close to the time to take meds. Drowsy for about an hour or so after taking them.

How do you know if they are right for you?

Anyone have similar experiences ?

Re: Medication experience

I walk everyday, keep myself active around the house and try to eat healthy. Only have an occasional drink. You have to work HARD at it when you are able to to counteract the days when you can’t. We have a choice to stay healthy or not.

Sorry that you wasn't treat with compassion and respect @chibam and everyone else too! it is hard enough to handle mental ill health without being supported too. I am lucky to have my husband and a lack of some life stresses others have, I don't know how I would cope if I was alone and if my determination to stay drug free would work for me. I don't handle stress well. But I do have hope.
