Welcome and getting started

constant pain

constant pain

For 6+ months I've been bed ridden, not able to breathe when standing. I have many health problems which leaves my entire body in agony everyday. My dr has me on meds that don't help, if I wasn't so scared I'd admit myself to hospital. I'm only existing and don't want to continue feeling the pain or burdening my family. I don't want to live anymore, I'm physically and mentally exhausted.

Re: constant pain

Hi @Hopeless80. That sounds like a really tough and frustrating situation to be going through and I can totally understand wanting all of that constant pain to stop. I'm hearing your exhaustion too and I'm sorry. You don't deserve to feel like this. It sounds like what's been happening has been quite distressing, so I'd really encourage you to reach out for support- you can call Lifeline (13 11 14) or the Suicide Callback Service (1300 659 467) or Sane also has a Help Centre you can access if you'd just like to speak to someone one to one non-urgently. Please know you're not alone and we'll be here to ride with you as you navigate this rough and rocky road. I really hope things improve for you soon.

Hi Princess Lettuce.

Sorry about the late reply and I sincerely appreciate you checking in with me. I'm safe atm, trying to catch up on sleep when I can. I have family around but it's hard having my kids watching me go through this. Thank you for your help.

Regards

Re: constant pain

Thanks so much for replying Dec.

My dr said he put me on a waiting list for pain management, not sure how long a wait it will be. My current meds don't help at all.

I'm glad to hear you have found some relief with treatment.

Re: constant pain

Hi TideisTurning.

Thanks for your kind words and concern, I genuinely appreciate it. I'm ok atm, no immediate danger and I am currently still seeking help. I've had limited help from my dr but need to look at other avenues to try and get some relief.

Re: constant pain

@Hopeless80

Its really hard when you are experiencing high volumes of pain in your entire body with no end in sight to any of it. I understand that your doctor has put you on a waiting list for a pain specialist. I am no expert at any of this even though I too struggle with lots of pain in my own body, but maybe a solution could be to work on one isolated area of the pain until you can get in to see a specialist. By this I mean, say you had issues with your feet. Would it be possible to see a podiatrist and start doing some stretches. Use google to find out about thing you can do. You will be suprised how many things are out there that people talk about online who have similar or the same issues to you.

Im only suggesting these possible options so you can start getting some relief possibly sooner. Living likse this for you first and foremost is no real way of life. Perhaps time for you to start taking more control and visiting other possibilities and avenues.

I hope this helps?
