Complete emptiness

Complete emptiness

As she laid there on her bed with her mind empty, her soul lost and her eyes screaming for a break, she tries to gather the pulsing thoughts that run through head even though it was empty, all she could hear were the voices of the demons that never left her side like everyone else did they stayed while the happiness left, no matter how hard she tried to fight she just wasn’t strong enough she just lost her self more, piece by piece she was gone, just a silhouette in a costume, she lost her voice that inspired so many it was gone just like that, she had nothing but the absence of light that once shined in her heart now it’s just gloomy and empty, they stole it all, they took what they couldn’t have and now she’s left with nonexistence inside of her, her body and mind were exhausted from all the demons she has to fight everyday without being noticed, she just wants to rest her mind and her soul but how can she do that without leaving this dark world we call home? Was there really any beauty to this world was there actual happiness or was it just a facade that we all wore so well? The world wasn’t her oyster it was her worst nightmare she didn’t want to be apart of, the emptiest place in the world will always be within her

Hi @Brynley , welcome to the forums. It's brave to reach out in a new space, but knowing how supportive this community is I'm sure you'll find some solace here.

I agree that reaching out to a Helpline might be a really good idea, you don't deserve to be alone in this.

@Brynley I hope your dream of writing a book one day comes true.

I write poetry, mostly when it’s dark inside.

You might like to look at the thread Re: writing as a form of therapy .

Just a forum tip. How we tag each other is, the @brings a dropdown, Tap a name and it turns green once you tap it.

Take care.

I love this. Very well written. Sums up probably what half this planet is feeling this year. Definatly how I felt. 2020 has brought so much instability and change. I can really relate with the demons and emptiness. Change is happening globally. The world is at its ugliest right now with so much going wrong all at once; covid, crazy politics around Covid, major job loss, people isolated, chronic mental illness spikes, climate change, crazy weather, etc.

I believe this is just part of a process for better things to come. History shows that things get worse before they get better. Since our world has been so damaged by people over the past few decades, 2020 has brought so many psychological changes for so many people. The above factors have impacted everyone, high and low income earning. So mental health is the most important to improve moving forward. Everything is looking grim, because it is TBH. But trying to see life, the events of the world, as a process, changes perspective. This takes a lot of time. Sometimes we can't see it because we're so blinded by desolation. Crippled.

Hang in there. I believe positive change is coming to help people in our situation. This international crisis can't continue much longer.
