Can anything be done?

Can anything be done?

A person is claiming they don't want to be here anymore. The only person they let into their life is in their 70s and very scared it isn't just talk. She has also distanced herself from her after claiming she won't do it this year. Can a mental health team be called to intervene? Can anything be done?

Re: Can anything be done?

Hi @janedoe2 in addition to Lola's suggestions here and in her email, you can also contact the psychiatric triage team in your local area. The specific contact number to ring depends on the state/territory you live in. If you don't have the number, let us know your state and we can pass it on. If you prefer, please feel welcome to contact the SANE Help Centre and we can have a chat about what potential next steps to take. We have online chat available, or you can ring 1800 18 7263 (Monday-Friday between 9am - 5pm EST).

Re: Can anything be done?

Hi there @janedoe2

Here is some more info about the triage team Mosaic is referring to.

You may have already come across this, but here are some resources for people who are worried about someone.

I hope everything is okay.

Nik
