feeling lousy.

currently on the treadmill with the fan on, watching Netflix and sipping on a can of V.

just finished helping mum with a cake order- a 6 layer white choc mud cake with buttercream frosting and a silver drip.

what are you both up to today?

Yeah @tyme mum use to do alot of cake decorating- she was very good. But due to dear old Arthur in her hands she can’t do much anymore, just the occasional for friends, family and a returning customer. She bakes, I help with the decorating.

We use to make all my nieces birthday cakes when she was a child. It was actually quite good. It was something mum and I did together without arguing

Do you enjoy it?

I do enjoy it. I always make my daughters cake. It’s just so time consuming and messy! I hate cleaning up @Captain24

I love when it’s done and their faces when they see it. @Bow We would always ask my niece what she wanted and she wouldn’t see it until it was time to bring it out.

Mum always cleaned up as we went. It was nothing to look for something and it was washed and packed away! Lol

Yea their face when they see it is always lovely! I remember my daughters second birthday cake, I did a dolly cake, you know the ones where the dress is the cake and the barbie doll is put down through the middle? I still have the video of my daughter really distressed by the fact that we cut the dolls dress! “Oh no” in her 2 year old little voice. @Captain24

Yes my mum does most of the cleaning now…. It’s her cake order. But I do like the satisfaction of a completed cake and then being able to walk away and not clean!

My nieces 2nd birthday cake was Nemo.

We struggled to get his lucky fin looking right. Before we had lit the candles she had grabbed it an eaten it. @Bow
