My Mosaic

My Mosaic

My Mosaic

I like mosaic art, I’ve never actually done any, but it intrigued me. Made up of hundreds of tiny pieces of stone, glass and ceramic. If you look at it close up it doesn’t really look like anything special, if anything it looks like a mess. But if you take a step back and view the whole picture- it’s a master piece. I guess it’s kind of like life. So many tiny parts, some messy if we look just at the one part. Some day i guess I’d hope that the mess of my life will at some point look half decent.

So here is part of my mosaic, bits and pieces kept tidy together 🙂

tagging you @Emelia8 cause you asked 🙂

Hey @tyme welcome back! Read somewhere else… you had a busy time off.

Don’t really know how things are today. Trying to keep myself busy so that I don’t ponder on things too much and to hopefully avoid flashbacks and disassociating.

I disassociated yesterday and my daughter walked in. Was not a pleasant experience. I don’t know how long I had been there but I didn’t feel like I had any control, but I could hear that she was there. I hate it all.

Re: My Mosaic

Do you work @Bow ? Volunteer work? Paid work? You have just a compassionate nature. I'm only thinking if that's something you'd like to do to 'keep [yourself] busy'? (No need to answer if you are not comfortable with answering).

I'm just thinking that when I was struggling, one thing that got me out of bed was responsibility and work. Although I didn't want to go, when I did go to work, i found it helped me a lot. I think work was my saving grace at my most difficult time.

Only a thought.

As for me, I'm still catching up with everything that's happened over the Christmas/New Year break.

@tyme

I work a few hours a week for my church… at least that’s what I am currently contracted to work, but had a meeting in November and I’m they are changing it to just casual hours cause I’m not doing the 4hrs a week… and there isn’t really the work for me to do anyways. I don’t really enjoy it anymore. And it’s work from work, so I’m not really getting out.

I look at my seek emails every day… I have search options set up and they send me any positions they have. It would be nice to work, but I’m not in any position to work at the moment. I was studying last year, but I quit that cause I was so far behind and had zero motivation.

I attend a weekly craft group with others with mh issues. That’s kinda nice. They have other activities every day of the week but my social anxiety has really stopped me from doing anything else. Took enough to get me to craft group.

I do understand what you are saying though. My daughter is motivation enough to get me up and out of bed every day. I spend a good chunk of the day exercising.

im actually going to apply for the DSP.

Far enough. That makes sense @Bow - you can only do what you can. I'm glad to hear your daughter is your protective factor. It's so important to have that.

Disappointed in myself today that I wasn’t able to be open and honest with my case manager 😩

I'm sorry @Bow

I know the feeling. It is hard to even admit to ourselves that we are not going well. Opening up to others can be scary.

Hey @Bow ,

I'm sorry to hear things are so difficult for you.

Do you have supports you can call over the weekend?

Re: My Mosaic

I know that feeling @Bow

Weekends are hard to deal with at times. It takes so much energy just trying to act normal around others.

PLease remember we are here for you
