Something’s not right

My Mosaic

My Mosaic

My Mosaic

I like mosaic art, I’ve never actually done any, but it intrigued me. Made up of hundreds of tiny pieces of stone, glass and ceramic. If you look at it close up it doesn’t really look like anything special, if anything it looks like a mess. But if you take a step back and view the whole picture- it’s a master piece. I guess it’s kind of like life. So many tiny parts, some messy if we look just at the one part. Some day i guess I’d hope that the mess of my life will at some point look half decent.

So here is part of my mosaic, bits and pieces kept tidy together 🙂

tagging you @Emelia8 cause you asked 🙂

Would a distraction help @Bow ?

How's your daughter tonight? Has the fever gone down?

Re: My Mosaic

@tyme Not long ago tucked her into bed and gave her her antibiotics. Her temp was fine thankfully. Mum will check it again later before she goes to bed- she’s a bit of a night owl.

Re: My Mosaic

That's good you've got your mum to help too @Bow .

I hope your daughter feels better soon.

I know you said you wanted to have a full day at home - any goals set for tomorrow? e.g. clean, pack, finish reading a book etc?

Just curious - you don't need to answer if you don't feel up to it.

Re: My Mosaic

@tyme I hope she is better soon too. Not nice seeing her like this, makes me sad.

A bit of a lay in might be nice tomorrow. Got nowhere we need to be. I will no doubt spend time on the treadmill and bike.
I may also make a start on the wooden grow chart that I am making for my bro, SIL and niece for Christmas

what will you do tomorrow @tyme ?

Re: My Mosaic

The wooden grow charts sound great @Bow - I look forward to seeing photos of them!

Any other creative projects in mind? I love your work!

As for me tomorrow... I think I'm just happy it's Friday! I'm planning to play lots of games with my nieces and nephews these holidays such as guess who, uno, 21, connect four, scrabble, bananagrams, pictionary, headbandz... i want them to know how to play these games.

Re: My Mosaic

Not really @tyme i do have a paint by numbers started, really haven’t done much of it at all. I maybe might do some of that over the summer.

I have some Lego sets to do too. I got a paris and london cityscape, and I’ve asked for more Lego for Christmas.

that sounds fun… playing games with your nieces and nephews. Twister too?

Re: My Mosaic

Oh! Twister! @Bow . But that means I have to demonstrate and I'm too unco!!!!

Any other suggestions?

I'm hopping off now, but I will check tomorrow. If you have any games suggestions (no ipad), I'd be happy to hear about them. The kids are 2,4,5,7,8 years old.

Re: My Mosaic

You know what is a fun game @tyme … sardines! A take on hide and seek. One person goes and hides, everyone else has to go find them. Once you find them, you hide with them until everyone has found them.
