My Mosaic

My Mosaic

My Mosaic

I like mosaic art, I’ve never actually done any, but it intrigued me. Made up of hundreds of tiny pieces of stone, glass and ceramic. If you look at it close up it doesn’t really look like anything special, if anything it looks like a mess. But if you take a step back and view the whole picture- it’s a master piece. I guess it’s kind of like life. So many tiny parts, some messy if we look just at the one part. Some day i guess I’d hope that the mess of my life will at some point look half decent.

So here is part of my mosaic, bits and pieces kept tidy together 🙂

tagging you @Emelia8 cause you asked 🙂

I love a quick Amazon delivery @Snowie I’ve got prime so most stuff is next day for us. I got 80 tubs of paint today ready for my next furniture piece.

yeah hopefully she will be understanding

yes I think I mentioned this cordial to you before.

We are watching a movie called the light between oceans. Seen it before but it’s good. And some of it’s filmed in tassie close to where I grew up

Re: My Mosaic

Hey @Bow , of course not!

I just get to what I get to because my time on the forums is very very limited.

What's AliExpress like? I've never tried it.

Did you buy Temu stuff for your art?

Re: My Mosaic

Yeah I've got prime too @Bow The kids use it more than I do!

That is a lot of paint. I'm glad you've got another furniture piece to do.

Yes, you did mention that cordial. Also having it with diet lemonade.

I've never heard of that movie before. Will have to put it on my list to watch.

Thats cool that it was filmed near where you grew up.

Re: My Mosaic

Hmmmmm ok @tyme

Aliexpress is mostly similar to places like Temu and shein. Different stuff though. It can be hit and miss. I get a lot of my fake Lego from there. I once ordered a set and the little bags of Lego that you get in the boxes, those bags were literally thrown in a postage bag and posted. And of course it arrived with a big hole in it. Couldn’t start it cause bag number 1 was missing. All my Alice in wonderland Lego came from there.
got all our iron on transfers for our Disney cruise from there. They were great.

haven’t put in a Temu order yet. But I did buy some art stuff recently for my hospital admission… but won’t be needing it now.
daughter needs a new doona cover so she has picked one.

Re: My Mosaic

Ergh. How annoying with the lego packet missing! @Bow

Fair enough when you say it's a hit and miss. Probably a lot of things aren't regulated either. Who knows?

What are you doing tomorrow?

Have you been to the markets at all?

Re: My Mosaic

Not much on for tomorrow @tyme apparently my SW is on shift and maybe I’ll hear from her? Haven’t spoken to her since I left hospital. So lots to talk about.

we did a market 6weeks ago I think. We didn’t go…. Or should say didn’t stay for April’s market. Drove out there and it was raining so turned around and came home. Next one is in 2 weeks.

Re: My Mosaic

Is your SW working 7 days a week? @Bow A lot of services are available on Weekends.

As for the market, how annoying that you packed and drove all the way, only to have to come back because of the weather. At least you won't have gazebos/marquees flying into you!

So are you working on any projects at home right now?

Re: My Mosaic

Not my SW, but a SW is on every day @tyme and tomorrow happens to be my SW on shift. They work 1-2 weekends a month and then get either Friday or Monday off.

Cochella in the states had marquees flying around everywhere cause people didn’t weigh them down. It’s mandatory at our market that your marquees is weighed down. Our marquee was ruin once when our neighbors marquee blew over onto ours in a gust of wind. It was pack up time and they took their weights off before they had even started packing up. Was pretty scary. Mum was knocked over thankfully unhurt. Marquee up, weights on and then set up. Pack up everything, weights off, marquee down.

im probably going to start another piece of furniture. Our neighbors gave me this tall narrow wooden chest of drawers, maybe to store cds in? They had seen me sanding furniture and asked if I wanted it.

@Snowie how was the drive? Hope your mum was in a pleasant mood for the drive back!

Re: My Mosaic

Hi dear @Bow

Drive was ok, just tired now. H came with me so could share the driving. Mum seemed ok. She had a good time but was happy to be back.

How has your day been?
