My Mosaic

My Mosaic

My Mosaic

I like mosaic art, I’ve never actually done any, but it intrigued me. Made up of hundreds of tiny pieces of stone, glass and ceramic. If you look at it close up it doesn’t really look like anything special, if anything it looks like a mess. But if you take a step back and view the whole picture- it’s a master piece. I guess it’s kind of like life. So many tiny parts, some messy if we look just at the one part. Some day i guess I’d hope that the mess of my life will at some point look half decent.

So here is part of my mosaic, bits and pieces kept tidy together 🙂

tagging you @Emelia8 cause you asked 🙂

I am glad you're feeling better - what are you up to this evening? @Eve7 🥰

Re: My Mosaic

@tyme I will see what he is like on Thursday when i meet him. My SW said that she will come with me and sit and wait and then hang around for when I am finished.

@Eve7 thanks 💗

@AuntGlow D is off talking with a friend. Just finished watching something on Netflix and think I’ll just go crawl into bed. I’m tired

Oh, also @Bow - I just read your longer message about the new therapist and I really want to validate your feelings. It makes sense why having a male therapist would feel triggering or vulnerable. 💛

I wonder if sharing your reservations at the beginning of your session could be helpful? It could help him to create a space that feels safe for you. What are your thoughts?

Re: My Mosaic

Yes @AuntGlow I want to be able to tell him about that first up. I have no idea what my CM has told him. Urgh panic setting in again

@tyme yeah I had the option to do it at home or at the hospital and I just know I will not sleep well at hospital. Plenty of experience has shown me that. Plus all those wires!
I went to the hospital yesterday afternoon and got all wired up and then went home to sleep. Down both sides of my face, my chin, behind both ears, 2 on the top of my head, 2 on my chest and then a band around my chest and one around my stomach. I then had to attach a wire to both legs, 2 nasal prong things and a finger oxygen reading all before bed. They were all plugged into a black box attached to a little computer gadget that I had to wear. It was cool cause she showed me how it reads when I blink, when I close my eyes, open and close my mouth and all sorts of other things.
I have an appointment in about 6 weeks. They will analyze all the data before then.
He said they only really need a few hours of sleep to get their data.

Really?? It takes 6 wks? It that how long it takes or analyse sleep data @Bow ? What are they hoping to find out from the study?

Thanks @tyme

No they are individual wooden half spheres! I put long lines of double sided tape onto cardboard and stuck them down, spray painted them, pulled them all off again and then individually glued them on the doors!

nope she is mine! I just store arts and craft supplies in it.

No way!!! That would've taken forever to do!!!

Re: My Mosaic

I guess primarily they are looking to see if I have sleep apnea @tyme cause that makes ya tired. And my chronic fatigue is why I had the sleep study. I guess it could take a while to analyze all the data, there were alot of leads attached to me, like 20 at least that all measures different things.

Re: My Mosaic

Oh! Makes sense @Bow ...

I don't know how people sleep with those sleep apnea machines... they look so bulky.

My aunty has sleep apnoea... she had it for a long time and didn't do anything about it so the lack of oxygen over the years has caused her brain damage.. pretty scary to be honest.

Re: My Mosaic

Yep I know right @tyme we actually have a sleep apnea machine, it was my step dads. I don’t know what I’ll do if I have sleep apnea, my sleep routine is rather particular, I can’t deal with noise and I don’t think I’ll cope with something around my head like that and over my mouth/nose. I don’t snore though, which is a positive for me cause most people with sleep apnea snore badly.

that is scary…. I’d never thought of it doing that to your brain, but makes sense

@Snowie Getting in early and saying good morning to you 💗 I’m sorry the last few days have been so challenging for you and hoping today is a little bit easier.

I’ve been awake and up for 2 hrs already
