My Mosaic

My Mosaic

My Mosaic

I like mosaic art, I’ve never actually done any, but it intrigued me. Made up of hundreds of tiny pieces of stone, glass and ceramic. If you look at it close up it doesn’t really look like anything special, if anything it looks like a mess. But if you take a step back and view the whole picture- it’s a master piece. I guess it’s kind of like life. So many tiny parts, some messy if we look just at the one part. Some day i guess I’d hope that the mess of my life will at some point look half decent.

So here is part of my mosaic, bits and pieces kept tidy together 🙂

tagging you @Emelia8 cause you asked 🙂

Re: My Mosaic

I really hear you on this one, and it's so so vulnerable when something mirrors or confirms a core belief, especially where our care network are concerned. @Bow

When we feel this way it is genuinely so hard to see where things are working... but if I were to ask where you can sense even a little bit of support or care in your world, what comes to mind first?

Aww that is cute!! What will she wear??

Re: My Mosaic

Hey @Snowie

nah no pdoc today. I did have a dietitian appointment this morning though. She’s a good listener and is generally helpful. She’s making changes next year though. Increasing her fees 👎 and I have to pay the full fee up front and then claim it back through Medicare which isn’t the case currently. And she’s also using some AI thingy to record the session and then it generates all her notes for her. She’s gonna send all the info through via email and stuff. Changes is just really unsettling. Like they aren’t major changes to how she supports me, but still overwhelming. Guess I just don’t have much capacity at the moment for that kinda stuff.

had a text from my fill in SW. I haven’t been able to respond to her

how r u?

Re: My Mosaic

Sorry @Bow thought it was pdoc day

Glad you could see your dietitian. I know she is a good listener for you.

Thats a shame about fees hon. I guess it is the same with everyone, fees always go up.

My psych uses the AI to record sessions. It generates the notes and she sends them to me after the session via email. I actually like it. I can go back and read what we spoke about and what things she suggested for me. During the sessions I can get quite overwhelmed at times, so it helps that I don't have to remember everything we said. Takes a bit of pressure of me.

Totally your choice if you respond to SW hon. I know it can help writing things but it can hinder at times too.

I've spent most of the day cleaning. Did ensuite, my bedroom, half the kitchen, bedding, towels.

I know I shouldn't be putting things of, I have to face them at some time. I guess we just do what we can do. Still have to tackle the shops one day this week. Urgh.

Re: My Mosaic

@AuntGlow where do I sense care and support? My SW, my dietitian- that’s only once a month, my gp- again very limited and I always feel cared for and supported by snowie

my D will have a Christmas tree on her head…. Turning her hair… with the addition of a few things, into a tree

Re: My Mosaic

Your house must be sparkling @Snowie

sounds like the AI bot could be helpful.

on the verge of tears …

Re: My Mosaic

Sorry @Bow support button not working

Almost sparkling, Still got living room, half a kitchen, one bathroom and toilet to go.

The AI is helpful hon. It is a lot to remember from one appointment and those appointments can get really overwhelming/upsetting/confusing, etc. I guess it takes the pressure of a bit to remember everything that was discussed.

I'm here if you need to chat/sit hon.

Re: My Mosaic

It's hard to feel overwhelmed @Bow I think it is normal however, you have so much going on.

No doubt it has been very hard with changes to your SW and CM.

I'm glad to hear that your CM is back tomorrow. Hopefully the appt goes ok.

When is your SW back?

When does D finish school?

Re: My Mosaic

Just had dinner @Snowie I’ve been struggling with meals a bit more than usual cause I have had terrible heartburn. Hits me around midday every day. I talked with my dietitian about it and she gave me a couple of things to try and also told me it’s possible because I’ve been having some breakfast… go me! She was actually pretty proud of me cause I’ve made a few changes since my last appointment.

My SW is due on shift on Sunday. Hopefully she is… she’s on leave cause her D is in hospital for the week. So hopefully that all went ok and she is back as planned. I will for sure look forward to her phone call on Sunday.

D has 2 more days of school. Tomorrow they have a disco and need to go dressed in Christmas mufti. I will try and take a photo of her hair/head and show you what we do. She is very excited about it!
