Our neighbour is in hospital @Bow Had surgery a couple of days ago. Probably going to visit him tomorrow. Give him some company.

Yeah sometimes I look at Trixie and just think.... how can such a humongous, heinous, foul-smelling poop come outta such a perfect baby angel princess? 😹 Can't even imagine, must be up to your eyeballs in kitten poops! 😵

I hope they haven't been sick too much? Whenever my kitties yack, they always seem to find the most unreachable patch of carpet to throw up on, and the smell is something else - I nearly yack myself when I gotta clean it up! :nauseated_face:

So kind of you to visit your neighbour! Little gestures like that are so, so meaningful in my experience. He's lucky to live next to someone so kind and giving! I hope the visit fills your cup too 😊💜

Cat poop and sick is all just totally gross and yuck and 🤮 and ahuh, why must they find the hardest places to reach to leave their deposits! And fresh clean litter tray must be christened straight away!

Oh yep! I never know what surprises are awaiting me when I go downstairs to dish up breakfast. I put the kittens in a multi level enclosure of a night and I made a plastic insert for the floor that I can pull out and take outside and hose off for them mornings when I could 🤮

late night with market. Then I needed to feed the kittens and sort them for the night and yeah… brain in overdrive.

my SIL giving us grief. It’s actually really hurtful. Adds another layer of depression.

Had a bit of a sleep in. Ask D’s father to pick her up so I didn’t need to rush out the door. Sat around a bit, but unloaded the car from last night and then I went to the shops to grab a couple of things. Kinda got D’s Christmas present. Got a couple of things for mum… it’s her birthday today.

@Bow ooo I've had a nutella calzone before, that was something special!! But most places put banana on their dessert pizzas, and I cannot stand banana in any shape or form!!

I'm sorry to hear about troubles with your SIL - it's always tricky with family. As if you need more on your plate right now!!

Oh, hmm what HAVE I been up to? lol trying to slowly get my house in order, mainly. And recently got super into RuPaul's Drag Race, so been binging it a lot 😅

Oh I actually quite like banana, banana milkshake, banana lollies etc… but is a huge fear food. So I haven’t had a banana in a very long time @Jynx texture issues for you?

Ya family can be sure tricky…. And she absolutely makes it so much worse. She moved in with us all when we all moved when my marriage ended. They been together a good 10yrs and engaged for years also. 2 kids. We have put in all the effort to together. We have had them over for meals dozens of times…. And as they leave we get the usual… ‘ we’ll have to have you over soon’. Which has never happened. Birthdays and special occasions we always initiate it and host and pay. In 5 yrs we have had 2 meals there. They never invite us over. But here is the kicker… she is constantly posting on FB posts along the lines of …. ‘If you don’t call, text, come around my kids won’t know you’….. ‘I won’t beg you to show up for my kids… family is more than dna, if you don’t show up don’t expect my child to know who you are’ ….. ‘heavy on teaching my children that if someone wanted to see you they would.’ It really hurts. Absolutely destroys mum. And gets me down more and more. These things are a two way thing. They cut us out of gift giving years ago but continue to gift to their friends gifts worth hundreds of dollars.

@Bow I mean, I imagine I would have issues with the texture if I ever touched one lol - it's the smell! It is such a pungent fruit, and not only that but no matter how little of it you put in things, it changes the taste. I can taste the teeeensiest amount of banana in something - literally would order like a smoothie and then taste banana and my fam would be like 'what? There's no banana in this what do you mean?' then I'd ask a server and they'd be like 'oh yeah we put a little banana in all our smoothies'.

Bananas and fish. My two most hated foods! Funny how they're both stinky foods too 🤣

Oh hun, that sounds awful! Slander does hurt, I'm not surprised it hits both you and your mum really hard. And it hurts the kids too, to think it's a lack of effort on your part when really it's their own mum spreading stuff around. I'm glad you had a vent hun, I think you're so valid in doing so. I hope you and your mum can be a comfort to each other in this 🤞

It did arrive! Couple pieces still in the shed for now.... gotta finish the de-cluttering before I can set up properly!! Like playing tetris 😂
