My Mosaic

My Mosaic

My Mosaic

I like mosaic art, I’ve never actually done any, but it intrigued me. Made up of hundreds of tiny pieces of stone, glass and ceramic. If you look at it close up it doesn’t really look like anything special, if anything it looks like a mess. But if you take a step back and view the whole picture- it’s a master piece. I guess it’s kind of like life. So many tiny parts, some messy if we look just at the one part. Some day i guess I’d hope that the mess of my life will at some point look half decent.

So here is part of my mosaic, bits and pieces kept tidy together 🙂

tagging you @Emelia8 cause you asked 🙂

Re: My Mosaic

We can talk about anything you want @Bow

H and I went down to the festival market this morning. Was very crowded but expected that. Thought of you hon, lots of handmade things but nothing as good as your pieces.

Re: My Mosaic

Oh that sounds nice @Snowie I like a good festival. Did you buy anything?

I’ve tried to keep myself heaps busy today. Did a load of washing. Tidied up downstairs a bit. I finished off my new market stand and found some fabric to make a bag for it. Used my cricut to make a few things. Told D yesterday that we needed to drop something off at the post office and duck into target but she was pretty adamant that she wanted a day at home. But come mid afternoon she was bored so I suggested we go out and she agreed. My CM came by too. Had a storm come by not along ago. Was pretty loud. Need to pack the car and have a shower at some point.

Re: My Mosaic

@Bow I am so proud of you hon for all you have done today. You certainly did stay busy. Would have taken a lot of courage on your part.

I hope your CM could help.

What time do you have to leave in the morning? I'm guessing packing the car tonight will mean a bit more sleep tomorrow morning. Hopefully you have good weather too.

Sometimes storms are so cool to listen too and too watch.

Festival was good. They blocked the main street off so a big market. Did buy a few things and a plant for MIL. It's on tomorrow too but meant to rain so I think everyone went today to avoid the rain. For once we had the sun shining.

They have fireworks tonight too, so will have to keep the dog inside for a bit.

Re: My Mosaic

Yeah didn’t want a repeat of yesterday, so made sure I had lots of things listed to do @Snowie

@no CM was not helpful. Stuff there. Disappointing. Angry. But don’t know what else I can say so won’t say anymore.

We will leave a bit after 6am. We always pack the majority the night before. Just leaving our cooly bag, backpack and market crate with our float and eftpos.

that does sound like a cool festival. Fireworks too.

Re: My Mosaic

Sorry about your CM @Bow

Very early night for you then hon. Hopefully D can help out lots tomorrow, especially with setting up and packing up. A mammoth task just for you.

Is it a busy market?

It is a pretty cool festival. Town known for it. Been going for lots of years now. They have a carnival part too with rides and show bags too for kids.

Re: My Mosaic

Yeah will try and get to bed early @Snowie hopefully my brain lets me sleep.

It can get busy. They use to have it every Sunday, but changed it this year to just monthly and I think that was a good move. They have food trucks, free kids activities, a heap of cars come out for a car meet too. It’s right next to a busy road too so lots of people see it.

Sounds like the local festival that we’ve just had.

I just had my shower. Such an effort. But it’s done and I feel fresh.

D is nagging to get the car packed, so will be back soon

Re: My Mosaic

Hopefully you can get some sleep tonight @Bow

I think monthly would be better too. It's good if you get lots of people to it also.

Well done on the shower hon. I know how hard and tiring just that can be. I managed to have one last night but really need to wash my hair. Just too much effort.

Re: My Mosaic

My hair needs washing too @Snowie but decided tonight wasn’t the night.

car is all packed. We have an suv that we lay 2 of the back seats down and D sits on the third seat. It’s usually a pretty packed car. A careful game of Tetris to get everything in. But tonight we could lay all the seats down and had lots more room.

eftpos is plugged in and charging. You know we always charge it the night before. Turn it on early before we leave to check it and without a doubt we turn it back on ready to use at market and it will need an update!! Stupid thing! And it always takes forever when we have an early customer.

you doing anything tomorrow?

Re: My Mosaic

I could imagine the car being like tetris @Bow

Trying to fit everything in. I guess it's easier when D can sit in the front with you.

Those damm eftpos machines can be so tricky. Hopefully it doesn't need any updates.

I haven't got any plans for tomorrow. It's meant to rain most of the day so will probably be an indoor day. I think two days of sunshine in a row is too much to ask for!

I've got a whole heap of S's school things to sell so might put them on facebook tomorrow. There is a page that parents from his school use. I have uniform and text books I can sell. Won't make a lot but I guess any money is better than nothing.

I hope tomorrow's weather is ok for you and there is no rain.

Re: My Mosaic

@Snowie Think we are all set now. All the animals are fed and ready for bed. I really hope the cat and kittens don’t greet me with a mess in the morning cause I don’t have time to deal with that.
D is in bed. I’ve had my meds. I had a chat with mum.

I guess you Victorians get sick of rainy days and would love some sun and heat? Whereas I’m the opposite. I love a nice rainy cosy day. Don’t get them much.

goodluck with listing your sons school stuff. It’s such an effort! I still got D’s old school uniforms that I put up on the parents page. Thing is they are phasing out the school dresses she wore. Annoying. I’m not going to be able to sell them now. Should just give them away to get rid of them.

I should go crawl into bed now. Thank you for keeping me company hon. I really appreciate it.
