My Mosaic

My Mosaic

My Mosaic

I like mosaic art, I’ve never actually done any, but it intrigued me. Made up of hundreds of tiny pieces of stone, glass and ceramic. If you look at it close up it doesn’t really look like anything special, if anything it looks like a mess. But if you take a step back and view the whole picture- it’s a master piece. I guess it’s kind of like life. So many tiny parts, some messy if we look just at the one part. Some day i guess I’d hope that the mess of my life will at some point look half decent.

So here is part of my mosaic, bits and pieces kept tidy together 🙂

tagging you @Emelia8 cause you asked 🙂

Wish it didn’t feel so lonely.

Re: My Mosaic

Good evening @Bow,

I am just responding to your message from Thursday night now. 💖

That sounds SO yum, I need to try it. Have you had a glass of water in the last hour? (Reminder for me to drink mine hehe)

I get that, these things are hard to stay consistent with... I find keeping notes in my phone a bit easier?

I don't collect anything, actually... but I know you collect lots of Disney things and Lego, which I think is so lovely and nostalgic.

Well, you're creating art that people can connect with, so it's absolutely worth it. 🤩

Handmade anything is always so much more heart-led.

And ahhh I love these pictures. Are the flowers made of stones?

Hi @AuntGlow

Not in the last hour, but in the last couple I have. I also had this mango drink from a kiwi food truck with my dinner. It was very refreshing. I’m super thirsty tonight, it’s been warm and I’ve been outside all afternoon. Thinking of walking down to the 7/11 at the end of the street and get a powerade or something. Just arguing with my ED monster in my head over it.

yea the flowers are made of rocks and pebbles. I got many many buckets, crates and containers full of all types of them. I write the words first, that’s quick and easy. But then it takes ages to find and pick the right ones.

Re: My Mosaic

Ooh, that sounds delightful! 😍 @Bow

Are you enjoying being out and about at all?

I am sorry to hear that this voice is loud right now... hypothetically, say there was also a more compassionate voice in your mind at the moment (like a best friend), what do you think they would say?

That's so creative!! How do you write the words? Is it by hand?

Re: My Mosaic

Not at all @AuntGlow on the verge of tears a number of times tonight while out. Did not want to be there. Felt suffocating. And my head was really not being kind.

we have just got home, grabbed what we needed to out of the car and we will unpack the rest tomorrow. 11pm and just crawling literally into bed. I could not wait to get my jeans off. I’m exhausted.

i did get a powerade. My body really needed.

I do write them by hand, but I do them up on the computer, print them out and then I have this light drawing board that I guess I kinda trace them. I actually got the light board from an op shop for a couple of dollars, no idea what it was but thought it would be useful for arts and craft. I had been using it for a few months just as a board until I discovered there was a port to plug a cord into it! And there was a little button on the top that I hadn’t even really noticed before to turn it on and adjust the strength of the light!

im having an absolutely nothing day tomorrow. Apart from attending to the kittens and unloading the car. I’m doing nothing. Even told D that if she’s too tired she can stay home.

Re: My Mosaic

I’m so wrecked today. Absolutely exhausted. I wanted to do nothing today. Just recover. But the kittens welcomed me this morning with an absolutely disgusting enclosure  I spent 2 hrs cleaning and fixing it so it’s easier to clean in future and I think I still need to go down and bath a couple of them. Someone had been sick. Fml

Re: My Mosaic

Oh no @Bow I think that's the one downside to having pets - they don't let you rest as much as you'd like. I hope the kittens are feeling better now and you've been able to rest now that the enclosure's all cleaned up

Re: My Mosaic

Aww @Bow sorry to read this. I hope you have been able to rest and the kittens aren’t so needy .

Re: My Mosaic

Hi @Ru-bee @Eve7 had to give a couple of kittens a bit of a bath and yep they are all now clean and happy and been snoozing.

l haven’t really had much of a chance to rest though unfortunately. We had a big weekend and the house shows that! Mum goes to tassie tomorrow and I’ll be left to tidy up tomorrow. The car still has stuff in it and it’s been storming here the last couple of hours so haven’t been able to unload it.

I got washing I need to do that I didn’t get a chance to do over the weekend. My room needs tidying up as does my craft room. Urgh.

i need to go get groceries tomorrow. Usually do that today but didn’t. Need to set a menu before that- strategy that helps while mum is away.

😴😴🥱

how r u both?

Re: My Mosaic

My day has been fairly quiet @Bow I had a uni quiz earlier then a gp appt to get a new referral for pdoc.

The cabinet maker who is making my new kitchen called in to get some measurements and give me the new plans.

Tidied my desk so I can mess it up again and that was about it. Staying home tomorrow so no Melbourne Cup for me.

Hope your evening goes well 💙
