My Mosaic

My Mosaic

My Mosaic

I like mosaic art, I’ve never actually done any, but it intrigued me. Made up of hundreds of tiny pieces of stone, glass and ceramic. If you look at it close up it doesn’t really look like anything special, if anything it looks like a mess. But if you take a step back and view the whole picture- it’s a master piece. I guess it’s kind of like life. So many tiny parts, some messy if we look just at the one part. Some day i guess I’d hope that the mess of my life will at some point look half decent.

So here is part of my mosaic, bits and pieces kept tidy together 🙂

tagging you @Emelia8 cause you asked 🙂

Re: My Mosaic

I could go to bed early @Snowie @but I don’t like to. Like to stay up until D is in bed. I’ll just watch some tv. Gotta feed cats/kittens too.

I started the kittens on wet food today. Their weight gains weren’t as much the last couple of days so hopefully starting them on this will bump them back up again. 3 of them really liked it this morning, but the little girl wouldn’t try it. Will give her another go tonight.

how did sons birthday weekend go?

Re: My Mosaic

Yeah understandable @Bow I used to wait until kids were in bed too.

I could imagine them taking their first bite. Probably a lot to get used to after mums milk.

Does it normally take awhile for them to get used to it? Do you have to feed them anything specific?

Weekend went well. Family dinner Friday night and then friends over Saturday night. They seemed to have a good night and S really enjoyed himself. Very late to bed.

He went for his license this morning. So now out driving himself to work!

Re: My Mosaic

Kinda gotta shove their face in the food so they can get a taste of it lol @Snowie they then usually immediately start licking and looking for more. I just gave it to them on a spoon this morning. To get them use to it. Might try them on a shallow plate tonight.

this is my first time starting the weaning process. They gave me a little manual years ago. Google is good too.

they gave me some food when I picked them up. Same for mumma. Just gotta make it sloppy

I’ve had them 2 weeks today so they are now technically out of quarantine. So I can take Mr Groot down and introduce them. And the dog. But she will go stupid crazy.

glad the weekend went well and son got his license this morning? That’s great! Congrats to him. Such a huge sense of freedom and independence for him.

you got much on this week?

Re: My Mosaic

I guess they have very little stomach's @Bow so would only take a little bit at a time.

Will Mr Groot go ok with them?

They must realise something is downstairs. Hear them or smell them.

Yeah he got his license.

Have psych Wed but besides that not much on. A quieter week sounds nice.

Much on for you?

Re: My Mosaic

There was still one that didn’t wanna eat wet food @Snowie but the other 3 had a good go at it, face and paws all in. They needed a wipe down when they finished.

let them have a run around once they finished. There is 2, evermore and folklore who play but always spend a chunk of time playing right next to me. I was laying on the floor tonight and they both ended up crawling down my tshirt!

Mr Groot will tolerate them. Occasionally have a play and then watch them from a distance with a look of disgust, like ‘ why are they here?’

The dog has known they are there. She has been really annoying. Constantly hanging around the door. Scratching and barking.

I have a busy week… gp tomorrow. Fair bit anxious about that. I made that appointment to let her know about the medical complications I’m dealing with. I’m not sure if my dietitian wrote to her to let her know. But I have her email and my SW is coming too. I’ll probably have to have my bloods done after that. Then I have a little bit of time and then I see my CM. Wednesday I see my pdoc and maybe arts and craft? Thursday or Friday I usually see my SW out in the community. Friday gotta take the dog to the vet. Sigh. I need a day at home. Market Saturday AND Sunday 🥱

Re: My Mosaic

I had a really horrible experience this morning. And I’m feeling really unsettled by it. I had an appointment with my CM at community mh and I walked in as I usually do, but as I walked into the waiting area I swore I seen a puff of smoke to my left so I glanced over as I walked past. There was a lady sitting there. But cause I glanced towards her to flew into me and started to verbally abuse me. I kept walking towards the receptionist desk and didn’t look at her again but she kept going. The lady at reception told her to stop but she didn’t. I asked if it was safe to be here cause I wasn’t feeling overly comfortable or safe. She said yes. The lady was still hurling abuse at me, so I told the receptionist who I was there to see and went and sat down on the opposite side of the waiting room.
This lady kept going. Kept yelling at me. Screaming. Another lady waiting stood up and walked over so she could see this lady. I have no idea why she did that cause it made the lady even more angry. A couple of guys started having a go at her. The receptionist kept telling her to stop. There was a lot of noise. One guy then stood up and walked towards the lady and they were going at each other. I decided it was no longer an ok place to be and I stood up and walked up, on my way out this lady stood up and completely exposed herself to me. WTH???
wasn’t sure what I was to do now. Just wait outside for someone or leg it to my car. Didn’t wanna be there. Didn’t feel safe. Waited a few mins and then the receptionist came out and told me she had gone inside now. I went back in and waited.
sigh

whys this stuff gotta happen to me????!

Re: My Mosaic

That would have been very upsetting @Bow all of it sounds like it was very confronting, and I'm glad that you were able to take yourself out of the waiting room and away from that. It's completely understandable that you didn't feel safe with all of that going on. Were you able to talk to your CM about how you were feeling after it?

Re: My Mosaic

Thanks @Ru-bee

yeah I spoke to my CM briefly about it. She could tell that something was up. She asked if I wanted to put in a complaint against the lady. Never even considered that. I guess being in a mental health facility people are unwell. ?

Re: My Mosaic

Yeah, it sounds as though that woman did need some real support @Bow though you shouldn't have had to go through that regardless. Are you feeling a bit better after some time?

Re: My Mosaic

Maybe a tiny bit @Ru-bee it really threw me and has left me feeling really unsettled. Crawled into bed for the afternoon
