I think so. I think being grounded helps. But having time to think, ponder and then mostly be able to write. But that’s not always appropriate. I can’t sit and think for 5 or whatever minutes and then write everything down.

maybe, it feels pretty impossible for me at the moment. The ED monster is always pretty loud and relentless.

It may not always be appropriate, but there might be some occasions where you can be honest with people and say, 'hey - this is what I need, can we take a moment so I can share what I am feeling more comfortably?'
